We recently had the chance to connect with Asalia Lopez and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Asalia, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Outside of work, I find joy in reading and walking. Both activities not only bring me happiness but also help me decompress and clear my mind.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I was born in Salvador and moved to the U.S. at the age of six. In addition to being a makeup artist and hairstylist, I work as a medical assistant, with about ten years of experience in pediatrics. This combination of creative and medical skills allows me to connect with people in unique ways.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
My parents taught me the most about work. They set a clear example of what it means to be hardworking and dedicated
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
I would say the fear of being ridiculed and the fear of the unknown have held me back the most in my life.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that Jesus, family and spending quality time with loved ones truly matter to me. I value those moments, whether it’s with family or close friends.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
Not to sound cliché, but I feel most at peace when I’m engaged in activities that I love, such as reading my Bible, doing hair and makeup, or going for walks. These moments bring me a deep sense of tranquility.
