Good morning Imani, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
That’s a great question! I am most proud of building my relationship with God. My walk with Christ has been super progressive and is the catalyst in my day to day life, even in business.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Imani Alexander and I am the CEO and founder of Metamorf Branding and Marketing Agency. We specialize in assisting mission driven businesses grow their presence on and offline, attracting, and securing ideal clients/customers to increase both sales and impact in their business.
Our mission is simple to Empower, to Transform, and to leave a ripple effect impact that creates change in business, and subsequently in communities. Making the world an overall better place. Where callings are completed and lived out in confidence.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that has served its purpose and must now be released is the hyper-independent / perfectionist part of me.
The part of me that doesn’t like to admit that I need, or ask for help.
The part of me that has to have it all together, or appear to anyways.
The part of me that get paralyzed into delaying projects and things out of things not feeling/seeming perfect.
The part of me that wants to do it ALL, and be in control of outcomes.
The part that lacks trust in people .
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me patience.
Suffering taught me perseverance.
Suffering taught me humility.
Suffering taught me reality.
Suffering taught me to have a giving heart.
Suffering taught me how to lean on people.
Success couldn’t have taught me these things. I would have thought it just came with it, easily but these character building things don’t just come with success. These things took time, hurt, tears, frustration to build & grow into
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
Smart people are getting it totally wrong in not being willing to fail at something’s. Of having to know it all to prevent the unknown. Smart people sometimes get paralyzed with their own thoughts and reservations instead of just being an outgoing, spontaneous, rule-breaking, risk-taker! How do I know? I’m coming out of being a smarty pants.
Smart people need to intentionally get in rooms they are small in, continuously to keep learning and growing. Even if it’s on subjects you think you know everything about already, be willing and open to learn more from peers.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I would stop caring about what people think, how I may look or sound to others.. I would stop being so postured and focused on success. Honestly, I would just live!! Outloud.
