We’re looking forward to introducing you to Jeffrey Mort. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Jeffrey, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Whether it’s a weekday or a weekend, I believe in owning the first 90 minutes of my day. For me, consistency is key—it sets the tone for everything that follows. I wake just before sunrise, step outside with my Australian Shepherd and Border Collie, and let the cool, dew-soaked grass ground me. There’s something powerful about starting the day connected to nature before the noise of life kicks in.
We head out for a one-mile sunrise walk, often while I catch up with a long-time friend. That conversation has become a ritual—a reminder that health isn’t just physical, it’s also emotional and relational. If I’m not getting my youngest son off to high school, I’m off to the gym for strength training, or I’ll trade the weights for cardio outdoors when the weather’s good.
By the time I’m back home, I’ve moved my body, cleared my head, and connected with the people and things that matter most. That’s when I set my intentions for the day ahead, which often means supporting my clients virtually through Victory Lane Wellness or Love Energy Wellness. It’s my way of making sure I’m operating from clarity and purpose before I help others do the same.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Jeffrey Mort, Founder of Victory Lane Wellness and Love Energy Wellness. My journey into integrative health began more than a decade ago when I realized I wasn’t happy with how I looked, how I felt, or how little energy I had to keep up with my kids. Discovering Tai Chi and Qigong completely transformed my health—it reversed chronic issues and ignited my passion for helping others do the same.
With Victory Lane Wellness, I wanted to create something unique for the motorsports world: a complete high-performance health system that goes beyond just nutrition, fitness, or sports psychology. We use functional medicine testing, my NeuroSPEED™ performance system, and proven health protocols to give drivers, crews, and entrepreneurs an edge in energy, recovery, and longevity. And through our Race for a Reason initiative, every step forward in wellness also supports children’s charities, which is deeply important to me.
At the same time, I knew there was a need for families to access the same safe, natural, and sustainable solutions. That’s why I also founded Love Energy Wellness—a family health platform where parents can take charge of their wellness, improve energy, and model healthier lifestyles for their kids. Where VLW is about peak performance, LEW is about creating lasting foundations of health at home.
Today, I’m working on expanding both brands so they serve as trusted resources: VLW for those who want to push limits on the track or in business, and LEW for families who want to reclaim their energy and future together.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a kid, I believed my circumstances defined me. Like a lot of people, I thought you were limited by where you grew up, what you had, or what you didn’t have. I figured success or health belonged to “other” people.
Over time—and especially through my own health transformation—I’ve learned the opposite is true. The moment you start working from possibility rather than circumstance, everything opens up. You realize you can create new outcomes, new levels of energy, and even new identities for yourself.
That shift in mindset is at the heart of the work I do now with Victory Lane Wellness and Love Energy Wellness. Whether it’s a driver, a pit crew member, or a mom with hormone or gut issues or her chronically ill child, once someone sees the possibilities beyond their current circumstances, they can access an entirely different level of performance and fulfillment.
What’s something you changed your mind about after failing hard?
For a long time, I thought failure meant hitting a wall and not getting the outcome I wanted. But after falling hard a few times—both in life and in business—I realized that failure only truly exists when you give up on believing in the outcome you desire.
Every setback is really just feedback. It’s a redirection, not a dead end. In fact, some of my hardest moments became the very fuel that led me to where I am today—creating Victory Lane Wellness, launching Love Energy Wellness, and helping others break through their own roadblocks.
Now I see what many people call “failure” as part of the process. In racing, you don’t park the car because of a bad lap—you get back out there, learn from it, and adjust. Life works the same way.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
The belief I’m committed to—no matter how long it takes—is that people deserve to experience real health results in the safest, most sustainable way possible.
That conviction fuels everything I do. With Victory Lane Wellness, it means helping drivers, pit crews, and entrepreneurs push past hidden obstacles so they can perform at their best and extend their careers. With Love Energy Wellness, it means giving families the tools and protocols to build a solid foundation of health so parents can show up fully for their kids and break the cycle of “getting sicker as we age.”
I know change doesn’t happen overnight, and real transformation takes time. But the ripple effect—when an individual reclaims their energy, or when a family changes its health trajectory—lasts for generations. That’s why I’m committed to this work for as long as it takes.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
I think the biggest misunderstanding about my legacy will be that it was about me. It’s not. My legacy isn’t about personal achievements, titles, or even the businesses I’ve built—it’s about the people who took the tools and frameworks I shared and used them to change their own lives.
With Victory Lane Wellness Legacy, we’re creating something that outlives careers, seasons, and even generations. Drivers, entrepreneurs, and families may come to us for energy, focus, or performance—but what they really leave with is the ability to rewrite their family’s health story. That’s the true legacy: not what I leave behind, but what they carry forward.
So, if people ever misunderstand my legacy, I hope they eventually see that it was never meant to sit in a trophy case. It’s meant to live inside the people we’ve helped—to ripple outward in stronger families, healthier communities, and more purposeful lives.
