Lisa Reynolds and Dominique Rainwater of Bolivia on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Lisa Reynolds and Dominique Rainwater shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Lisa Reynolds and , it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
The Nauti Bee & Co. What started as a simple hobby and a dream has created a community, family and joy like no other. We do not know how we survived this long without it. Stop? Never. We hope this is something that will bring not only us but our community joy for years to come. We want everyone to feel like they are apart of our family. Welcomed and loved!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Where to begin… The Nauti Bee & Co. was brought to life in the fall of 2022. Originally a boutique, named after a hobby the owner, Lisa’s son and Dom’s now husband had started a year prior, grew into something they could never have dreamed of.

We quickly noticed that our community did not find interest in the clothing, but more so the bees! We were getting messages asking about honey and it sparked a whole different journey. We have found that we are not the only ones who loved learning about beekeeping and bees. We loved learning about beekeeping from Uncle Jake’s farm, and the at is why we became beekeepers. To see our community so interested in these amazing little creatures is so thrilling to us! We quickly realized we are much more than just another boutique, so we switched things up a bit and started to really focus on educating our community about bees!

We offer a wide variety of products, including Raw Natural Honey, bee themed gifts, The Nauti Bee & Co. merchandise, homemade honey products, and so much more! We also love working with local artists, small businesses and all of the in between.

Our ladies work so hard, and we love that they are so loved by so many! One day we hope to bring the boutique back to life, but for now, we are so happy with the road we have been taken down and can’t wait to watch it grow! We have just celebrated our 3rd birthday and can not wait to see what this year will bring us! We are very lucky to have such an amazing Nauti Bee Family!

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
What a tough question… we believe that the world does not control who you are. We as humans let it. We let it influence who we think we should be… Before we let the world tell us who we are supposed to be, we were children. As children we are just us, we are blinded by the influence of others, we like what we like, clothes, passions, movies, ect. We are free to just be ourselves. This changes after you get older, always trying to compare yourself to others, always trying to fit in, or impress someone else.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Of course! Owning a small business is not for the weak. You just have to push through it… remind yourself that there is a reason you are here and doing whatever it is you are doing!

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
Family and community. As a society we have lost sight at the importance of family and community. We want everyone who walks through our doors to feel safe, loved, and apart of the family. Sit down, have a cup of coffee with us. Tell us about your day! How are the kids? How’s the family? We want to support our community in any way we can. We want people to feel time they are not just another costumer, but a friend.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What will you regret not doing?
We will regret not doing this sooner. However we are big believers in ‘EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON’ and we know that we are right where we are supposed to be.
