Good morning Joey, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? Who are you learning from right now?
So it is that right now I am learning from the people that cross my path everyday as I am doing Street Outreach Ministry. It’s amazing that if you allow yourself to remain teachable, how much you can learn from everybody you meet and engage with.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Greetings Everyone,
My name is Elder Joey Spencer, I live in Raleigh N.C and love it, but my hometown is a small, but big hearted town called WADESBORO N.C. I am a member of Macedonia New Life Church, where I serve as an Ordained Elder and Pastor of Evangelism and Outreach, President Of Evangelism Ministry, And Chaplain Of Intercessory Prayer Ministry, I am also a volunteer Chaplain at Central Prison, where I Preach and Teach the Gospel of Christ, I work as a Street Outreach Specialist for other Nonprofit Organizations in Wake County, I am
the C.E.O and Founder of Bread Of Life Street Outreach Ministry, A 501-3c.. Nonprofit Street Outreach Ministry, that serves the Homeless Communities and Needy Families here in Wake, and surrounding counties, I love playing Church music and composing and playing organ, piano and saxophone in Church when asked, And now I am also a Self Published Author of my Testimonial ” From The Bench To The Board ” available on Amazon.Com and Barnes and Nobles.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I have always been Joey Spencer who was raised to be myself so when I entered the World, I would tell the world ” Who I Was ” as to not be defined by what the world wanted me to be.. I was raised in a loving family that instilled within me, the knowledge and understanding of who, and whose, I was and still is, A family that believes in Christ and does not seek the world for answers. Even now, I teach my God Son, not to look to the world for answers, and to be not conformed to this world.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Sure, and it was those times that forced me to seek guidance, it was those times, of darkness and despair that not only challenged me but motivated me to seek God. That time when I had utilized all my effort, times when I had exhausted all of my resources and it seemed that I had the weight of the whole world, on my shoulders, I was weak, tired, and worn , and all the time, the answers to my questions, the solutions to all my problems, was in my voice, I called one name ” JESUS ” and he made my whole life new again, he took all the weight , off my shoulders. And now–I Smile !!
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
That the only knowledge they need to know comes their “PHD’s,” or ” Master Degrees ” and not our G.O.D, and forget or don’t consider, how many ” Degrees ” the ” Lake Of Fire ” Is , if they don’t stop thinking that they know everything. School makes you Smart, but the ” Word Of God ” makes you ” Wise ” !!

That I love ” Love “, and loving people. That I have compassion and empathy for everyone, and didn’t have to always be First. I believe in doing into others as you would have them do- unto you.
