Hi Paul, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have been in the field working with individuals with Intellectual disability, Mental health, and substance abuse for over 30 years. I started Covenant Case Management in 2010 with just myself providing Case Management services. I started with 1 family, and we now serve over 600 families. I have a child with Autism so I live what I do. We serve our families all over North Carolina. We have day programs in Matthews, NC and Albemarle, NC. We provide Supported employment services to assist in job placement and development. Community based services such as Community Living and Supports to assist with home and community needs, Community networking for those that want to attend school or volunteer. We also provide Specialized Consultative services in the areas of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Nursing, Recreational Therapy, Nutritional therapy, and behavioral supports. We also provide Targeted Case Management services. Finally, we provide residential services in alternate Family Living placements where individuals can be cared for in a caregiver’s home or in a supported living location which would be in an apartment, condo or home the rent or own. Our philosophy is to be able to support all of our families in the fulfillment of their dreams for themselves
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No not at all. First of all, creating an environment that encourages dreams, and their fulfillment takes time and involves teaching and training of the families and staff how to” think outside the box”. Also finding the right staff has been challenging. All of it has been very worth it. Growing all over the state has been challenging. Retaining good staff given the market has created some challenges.

We provide comprehensive Care to Folks with Intellectual Disability, Mental Health, and substance abuse in the state of NC. We currently are focusing on our expansive Residential program and Specialized Consultative Services. What sets us apart is we provide outstanding customer services and have renovated our sales and intake department to provide Concierge customer services. We have also changed our clinical department to ensure we have our staff thoroughly trained and held to the highest standard of accountability. We created a Utilization Management department to oversee authorizations and create an efficient tracking system for staff and Finacial accountability and oversite. We hired on a marketing team to better address our social media presence and overhauled our website.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Raliegh is the hub of activity for tourist, politics and growth, although we don’t have great presence there as of yet but believe we could serve the populations needs. We are excited about meeting Raliegh’s needs to best support the disabled community.
