Hi Nisrin , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Who are you learning from right now?
I am learning from many successful leaders in my community. believe it or not I am learning a lot from my husband and he is the backbone of my business structure in the meantime.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My Name is Nisrin shahin, I am a Palestinian American local artist. I am the founder and owner of the new space The Rumman Room, and art gallery inspired venue to host private and all types of creative community events.
I started my art journey during covid 2020 and started a self discovery path that lead me to The Rumman Room model today. I found life and identity in art and i want to provide that to my community in the best way I could.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
after I had my first child I felt invincible and that I can do anything else if i survived that part.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, I almost gave up on opening up my dream space because it felt so heavy and I couldn’t rely on myself to create such a big vision. I am so happy I kept pushing through to see the fruits of all the hard work that went into it.

Creativity is the essence of human life. I want to help nurture and support the thing I was in need the most to go through hardships of life.
