Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynthia Zgheib.
Hi Cynthia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey began over a decade ago, not as a trainer, but as a client at a gym struggling with my own health. I was always caught in a cycle of starting a gym membership only to quit after 3 months and fall back into unhealthy habits. My worst habit was drinking, and combined with a sedentary job, it led to weight gain, bad posture, and chronic back pain that was also caused by functional scoliosis.
As someone who was very skinny, the physical change led to low self-esteem and self-confidence. I joined a local gym and with the help of a personal trainer, I started rebuilding my health. With every small goal I reached, I fell more in love with the process, and this had a huge impact on me.
After I moved to the United States, I decided to follow my dream of helping others get fit and healthy and I got certified as a personal trainer.
I wanted to guide women out of the pain and self-doubt I once experienced. My method is not about punishment, it’s about building a long-lasting and loving relationship with your body.
Today my business is built on that empathy. I don’t just write workout, I coach women through the same hurdles I overcame.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Honestly it hasn’t been as smooth as I imagined. There were many times, especially in the beginning, when I felt overwhelmed and thought about quitting and getting a “regular” job.
The biggest challenge was mastering the business side of things (marketing, operations, sales…). On top of that, the need to constantly study and stay up-to-date with the latest science was a significant commitment. It’s a field that is always evolving and I have to evolve with it. But 2 things kept me going. First my incredible support system, especially my husband, who constantly reminded me of my strength and my passion for this work. Second, were my clients, when witnessing their own transformation.
Every single story fueled my purpose.
Every struggle was a necessary lesson.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business is built on a simple but powerful belief: every woman deserves to feel strong, powerful and confident in her body throughout any stage of her life.
I am a NASM-CERTIFIED personal trainer and group fitness instructor, specializing in strength training.
I specialize in creating a safe and effective training environment for women of all ages, whether they are young, navigating through menopause or seniors.
I focus on building core strength and overall muscle to combat common health concerns like osteoporosis and sarcopenia (age-related muscle loss). The primary goal isn’t just an aesthetic look but about building a resilient body that allows them to live life fully — whether it means keeping up with their children, carrying groceries or continuing their favorite hobbies.
My approach is deeply personalized. I don’t use a one-size-fits-all template. Every client is a different case. We always start with a comprehensive conversation where I learn about their health history, body’s unique struggles, and of course their personal goals. Then I build a fully customized program designed specifically for them. This, combined with my own journey, allows me to offer a unique blend of scientific expertise and genuine empathy.
I am mostly proud of the supportive community I built and the impact I have and had on women’s lives.
My brand is defined by real results: a client who no longer has back pain, a senior who doesn’t need help to get up from a chair, even a young woman who didn’t need a knee surgery anymore. I am incredibly proud to have personally guided over 24 women on these journeys over the past 3 years.
I want your readers to know that investing in your strength is an investment in their long-term quality of life. It’s never too early or too late to start building a body that supports your dreams and daily life. My door is open to any woman ready to take control of her health and write her own story of success.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
While some people might look at my journey and call it “luck”, I see it very differently. I see dedication, personal sacrifices and a driving passion to help others.
If there’s any luck involved it was in finding my calling. But even then, it was the hard work, the early mornings, and the decision to keep going when I wanted to quit, that led to where I am today.
