Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriel Schloss.
Hi Gabriel, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was in a really bad work accident in October 2016. I spent two years working through workers comp with different physical therapists and acupuncturist and massage therapists to rehab my injuries. In that process, I fell in love with the body, began working as a personal trainer, which led me to becoming a massage therapist and working in injury prevention, rehab, and just overall better mobility through massage therapy.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
it has not been a smooth road. The rehab was a lengthy tedious process that really taught me a lot about myself and as a massage therapist, I have been self-employed for the past five years and so navigating building my business and getting my name out there while also staying true to my values has been a struggle at times
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), and NASM-Certified Personal Trainer, I am highly trained in multiple modalities. My practice is centered on understanding the entirety of your bodies story. I operate on the principle that chronic pain and dysfunction are often physical cues alerting us to deeper, non-optimal patterns. Through a comprehensive, hands-on approach, my purpose is to identify these specific underlying patterns and actively help the body systemically, disrupt and re-pattern them toward balance and optimal structural integrity.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
After nine years of dedicated practice and study, my core philosophy holds that chronic physical discomfort is rarely an isolated incident, but rather a symptomatic manifestation of deeper, underlying neuro-musculoskeletal or compensatory patterns.
As a Licensed Massage Therapist, I operate as a facilitator of long-term change. My primary role is not to “fix” a client, but to expertly guide them in cultivating somatic awareness,—helping them identify the source of dysfunction. By providing this presence and targeted therapeutic tools, I empower clients to engage in the necessary self-correction and achieve lasting functional independence.
