Exploring Life & Business with Jeremy White of JSG Displays

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy White.

Hi Jeremy, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started J-Signs and Graphics out of my bed room using a single color vinyl plotter. One of my first jobs was for Black and Decker making them a 20ft banner for their warehouse workspace. I used a fold out table to apply the graphics to their banner. One I received the check for that order, I started putting all the funs I had towards equipment and growing.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For the most part we have been very busy. There have been times where I’ve wondered if I was going to have to cut people or reduce the amount of contractors we had, but for the majority of operation, we’ve maintained a steady workflow.

We’ve been impressed with JSG Displays, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Starting out as sign company, my goal was to increase brand awarness for local business. Despite just selling the new business a new sign, I liked to take the time to learn their goals and purpose of buying a sign to begin with. Through college, I strictly focused on electronics. I remember as a kid my dad bought me a bread board so I could branch different connections and make different components function. With the knowledge from schooling and fascination, We decided to create a branch of the company that focused strictly on Digital LED sign.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I spent most of my time outside. I loved building tree forts, digging tunnels and pretty much anything that involved being outside. I enjoyed not only creating my own circuit boards, but I also enjoyed tearing electronics apart and trying to put them back together. Or putting them back together to serve a different purpose.
