Exploring Life & Business with Na-Tasha Denson of All Things Purposeful

Today we’d like to introduce you to Na-Tasha Denson.

Na-Tasha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Growing up I experienced a lot of trauma. From experiencing poverty, abuse, and having to grow up early by taking care of myself as a teenager. I was in a lot of emotional pain. At the age of 30 I attempted suicide for the first time in my life. I was tired. At that time my mom had passed 2 years prior; I suffered a miscarriage 6 years prior and I was going through a divorce. I didn’t understand why I was continuing to deal with so much emotional pain. When my attempt didn’t work, I made a decision to live and to grow. I made it my mission to talk others off the ledge when they are at their breaking point. I decided I wanted to do more to help people.

Three years later All Things Purposeful was born. I wanted to inspire people one T-shirt at a time. Then we grew into other merchandise such as hoodies, hats, and more. Eventually creating the customs side of the business. Where we create custom and personalized pieces for individuals and businesses. Now we have added services specifically for mental and emotional health. As an Emotional Support Coach, I am certified to teach Suicide prevention, Anger Management and Grief Recovery. I am also a certified mental health coach.

My goal is to help others through their toughest season, help them to shift their perspective, manage their emotions, and most importantly prevent suicide.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of the struggles along the way is being able to reach people to reach them about suicide prevention. It is a stigma surrounding mental health. I believe the more people to learn the more people we can save.

I’ve been homeless twice during these 6 almost 7 years of business but I never gave up. I keep going because someone out these deserves to know that they can push through their storms too. I love inspiring others. There is no better way to do it than to experience some of the hardships that people experience everyday.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
