Today we’d like to introduce you to Beth Hutchens.
Hi Beth, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My Journey with Something to Bark About Dog Training
Growing up, my dad was a passionate dog enthusiast who instilled in me a deep love and respect for our four-legged companions. From a young age, I was surrounded by dogs, learning to understand their unique needs and personalities.
As I grew older, my passion for dogs only intensified. I realized that many dog owners struggled to bridge the gap between their expectations and their pets’ natural behaviors.
My goal with Something to Bark About Dog Training was simple yet profound: to help dogs live harmoniously in a human world and to educate the humans who love them. I believe that every dog has the potential to become the best version of themselves, and my mission is to facilitate that transformation.
Over the years, our training methods have evolved, incorporating the latest research and techniques to ensure that we provide the best possible guidance. We focus on, positive reinforcement, building trust and mutual respect between dogs and their owners. The results have been incredibly rewarding, with countless success stories of dogs and their families living happier, more fulfilling lives together.
Today, Something to Bark About Dog Training is about more than just training dogs. It’s about fostering a community of pet lovers who are committed to understanding and nurturing their canine companions. This journey has been immensely fulfilling, and I am thrilled to continue helping dogs and their owners for many years to come.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Something to Bark About Dog Training involved overcoming the hurdles of starting a new business, such as building a client base and establishing a reputation in the community. Finances were tight when getting started, and advertising was expensive as we worked to maintain an affordable price.
Despite these struggles, every challenge is an opportunity for growth.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
My story begins with my dad, a true dog enthusiast who instilled in me a deep love and respect for our four-legged friends I learned early on the power of patience, dedication, and empathy in building meaningful relationships with animals.
Haha aside from that, I wanted to be Marilyn Monroe
