When I first stepped into the wedding industry, I quickly realized that passion alone wasn’t enough to open doors. I earned my certification through the Certified Wedding Planner Society (formerly the Bridal Society), determined to build a career rooted in excellence and integrity. But despite my drive, finding someone willing to let me shadow or learn hands-on was nearly impossible.
Many seasoned planners saw newcomers as competition, not community. It was disheartening—because the truth is, we all bring different strengths to the table. Collaboration should be the heartbeat of this industry, not gatekeeping. That experience shaped me deeply, and it’s why I now take pride in mentoring young women and men who share a passion for event planning. I teach what I can, offer real-world experience, and remind them that generosity and professionalism go hand in hand.
Another challenge I’ve witnessed is the rise of undercutting—new planners offering rock-bottom prices to land the gig, often without the experience to back it up. Planning and coordination become an afterthought, and couples are left navigating chaos on what should be the most joyful day of their lives.
But here’s the truth: a wedding timeline isn’t just a checklist. It’s a living, breathing flow of logistics, emotions, and quick decisions. It takes a professional who can think on their feet, adapt in real time, and turn one night into a lifelong memory. That’s not something you learn overnight—it’s earned through experience, mentorship, and a deep respect for the craft.

Any big plans?
As Timeless Love Weddings continues to grow, I’m intentionally shifting toward a more focused, heart-centered approach. I’ll be limiting the number of weddings I personally take on each year—not because I love this work any less, but because I want to give each couple the time, creativity, and presence their love story deserves. Every wedding should feel like it’s the only one on the calendar.
This shift also allows me to honor something equally important: time with my family. Balance is a beautiful thing, and I believe it makes me a better planner, mentor, and human.
Big changes are also on the horizon. Timeless Love Weddings is evolving from a solo brand into a boutique planning firm. We’re opening the doors to partnerships and building a team of focused, dedicated planners who share the same values—professionalism, empathy, and a deep respect for the craft. My goal is to create a collaborative space where talent is nurtured, stories are honored, and excellence is the standard.
