Hidden Gems: Meet Geoffrey Allen Perdue of LETUS

Today we’d like to introduce you to Geoffrey Allen Perdue.

Geoffrey Allen, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was born in Albemarle, North Carolina in March of 1990, but I grew up mostly in Lexington until mid–high school, then moved around High Point and Greensboro through my early twenties. By twenty-five, I had made my way to Concord and Charlotte, where I’d lived and worked before traveling the country for five years- coast to coast.

Looking back, I can see how the foundation for everything I do now was being laid long before I ever started a business. I spent my summers on my grandfather’s farm, working hard and learning how to earn my keep. I worked alongside my stepfather in home building and watched my mother display an incredible work ethic every day of her life.
They are two of the hardest-working people I’ve ever known.

From my father, I learned how to fix things myself — everything from automotive work to mechanical problem-solving, and of course the many life lessons.

That said, some of the most valuable lessons I learned didn’t come from work at all. They came from hardship.

In my early twenties, I went through a period of homelessness. It was the result of poor character and bad decisions. Later, as i mentioned earlier, I traveled the country out of my van, and that season of life taught me more about independence, resourcefulness, and humility than anything else ever could. I learned how to make a way for myself, no matter where I was or what I had to work with.

My mother, father, stepfather, Marcus Aurelius and the Stoics, and my Savior Jesus Christ — not in that order — as well as the many authors I’ve read over the years have all shaped who I am. Their influence continues to guide how I live, think, and lead.

My latest company, LETUS Maintenance, was born out of both purpose and practicality. I realized that as one person, I could only do so much. I had only so much time, energy, and reach. I wanted to instill my values into something that could grow beyond me — something that could serve more homes and businesses than I ever could alone.

Before launching LETUS, I worked in nearly every industry you can imagine: cooking, sales, construction, bartending, UAS (drone) piloting, officiating weddings, logistics, retail, and warehouse packaging.. and probably some more that I’m forgetting. Every one of those experiences shaped my understanding of people, work, and what real service looks like.

There wasn’t one defining “aha” moment that made me start my company — it was more like a decade of steady realization. I spent years identifying and redefining my goals, my values, my vision, and what I could realistically build with the knowledge, experience, and resources that I had.

LETUS stands for “Leave Everything To US.” It’s more than just a name — it’s a philosophy. It’s a mission. It represents trust, reliability, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing the job will be done right and done well.

We secured our first clients the old-fashioned way — through grassroots, unpaid, organic marketing. I personally sent messages and emails, hand-delivered hundreds of flyers, and made social media posts. Every job at the start came from that direct, hands-on boots-on-the-ground effort.

The challenges weren’t unique — they were the same ones every new business faces: building proof, earning trust, creating a reputation, and doing it all with limited resources and time. Through it, I learned to trust the process, to work harder for longer, to rest when needed, to show up every single day, to commit, to follow through, and to believe in myself.

When we celebrated our one-year anniversary with a 100% satisfaction rating and 100% recommendation rate on Google and Facebook (which we still possess), I wasn’t surprised — but I was grateful. I knew that with the right systems, the right clients, and a clear understanding of who we serve and what we stand for, success was simply a matter of time and consistency.

The business continues to grow organically, the same way it began. I’m not in a rush. I’m sticking to the plan. The next step will be the unveiling of LETUS Properties, where we’ll focus on multi-unit properties — mostly commercial, though we’ll consider residential opportunities that align with our mission.

Community and service are inseparable from who I am and what LETUS stands for. Faith, purpose, and service aren’t things I add to my work — they are my work. They’re the foundation of everything we do.

My long-term vision is to build a dependable team of (over)qualified, purpose-driven people who believe in what LETUS represents. There are too many people in the construction and real estate industries who cut corners or take advantage of others. We want to set a new precedent — to reintroduce honor, integrity, and service to others as the standard, not the exception.

To young entrepreneurs or anyone struggling to begin: change the story that you tell yourself. Believe that You Can, that You Will, and Just Start — NOW. You can always adjust your sails along the way. Have faith in God and faith in yourself. Entrepreneurship takes longer than you think it will. It takes more work, more patience, and more faith than you may imagine— but it’s worth it — if you show up, stay consistent, and keep your head and heart right.

To me, success isn’t about much money or recognition. It’s almost entirely about becoming the man that I aim to be— loving the man that I see looking back a me in the mirror. It’s about loving the people that God has placed in my life, being obedient to His will, leaving a positive mark on this world, and living a life of purpose and service.

When challenges come, I pray. I trust. I remind myself not to stress it much— I remember that God is faithful.

If there’s one thing I hope people take from my story, it’s this: no matter who you are, what you’ve been through, what you’ve been told, or what your circumstances are — God loves you, and He has a purpose for you. You’re not alone. Call upon Him. Have faith. Put in the effort, and trust that God will provide. You can build the life that you desire and become the person that you want to become.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
