Today we’d like to introduce you to Lee Johnson.
Hi Lee, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
The beginnings of this band go as far back as the early 2000’s and a band called Big Bertha, i was cutting my teeth in the music business with this band when i recognized there were some better and more efficient ways to run a successful music franchise . That birthed a band named GrooveTown which became very successful and implemented a-lot of the systems and practices that eventually led to Irresistible Groove becoming one of the nations most sought after event bands.
We have basically had the same roster of fantastic and talented musicians whom work very hard to make every performance amazing . John Orlando bass/vocals , Mykl Hanna lead vocals, Devin Fuller drum/vocals , Steven Moore trumpet/vocals , Chris Bennett guitar/vocals and myself Lee Johnson sax/keys/vocals have spent decades enjoying music as a great team . This team has led to numerous awards of Best Of Bands , critics choice , and even being selected into the hall of fame (TheKnot) We have consistently been voted top 5% in our industry on multiple platforms for over a decade.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Plenty of obstacles including set backs with personnel and even some leadership problems were the reasons the band is so successful today . Every set back paved the way for improvement and eventually led to an amazing crew of musicians and a work ethic and system that is very hard to beat!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We are an event band specializing in mostly private events including weddings, corporate parties , and private parties with some festival and club performances sprinkled in throughout the year.
The bands reputation is unrivaled in being very talented , very hard working and very easy to work with . High pressure , highly detailed events is where the band thrives!
I am so proud of how consistently amazing this team of professionals performs and works through problems . We consistently provide the best in music entertainment 100 times a year no matter what the difficulties we have to overcome to do it .
The band is distinct for several reasons , amazingly passionate , amazingly talented , and also amazingly professional is what our reputation has come to be . We have 100’s of reviews online that speak of these very traits.

There is not another band you will find that loves what we do more then Irresistible Groove ! This business is proof that when you find the right team of passionate professionals that can work hard together that anything if possible!
