Hi Kevin, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
MathMadeFun, LLC was birth from a deep desire to help students eliminate their math frustrations and phobias.
I started tutoring when I was a high school student, throughout college, and during my continued educational pursuits.
I truly believe my passion and desire to help students become confident when dealing with math concepts has gotten MathMadeFun, LLC to where it is today.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
For the most part, the operations of MathMadeFun, LLC (MMF,LLC) has been smooth sailing.
Challenges:
1. In-person sessions:
Sometimes, we experience obstacles with travel time with back-to-back scheduled sessions. Thankfully, 95% of our sessions are virtual which makes it easier to have back-to-back sessions.
2. Available tutors:
Sometimes we lack qualified educators to service our client’s needs. We are always looking for outstanding educators who love to teach and inspire.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am the Director of Facilities at Raleigh North Christian Center, under the leadership of Dr. Jeffrey Chapman Sr. and Lady Sandie Chapman. I was recently promoted to this position May 2025 after serving as a safety team member/administrator support for 6yrs.
I obtained 15yrs of facilities experience while working at Duke Energy formally known as Progress Energy/Carolina Power & Lights in the Real Estate Department. I commenced working at Duke Energy at the age of 24 as a Facilities Support Technician. I received a promotion after 2yrs as an Associate Facilities Property Administrator and two more promotions afterwards before leaving in 2014.
I am known for being generous and service oriented. I thrived while at Duke Energy in my customer service skills within my department. I am proud of being a Christian since the age of 20, husband to my wife of 16yrs, family guy, and a good friend to others. I have started 4 businesses within the past 10yrs (3 for profit and 1 nonprofit).
What sets me apart from others is being me. I am an originator and creator in my own right. God has given me special abilities and talents to help others. And that’s what I am proud of doing. I am caring, compassionate, funny, and smart.

I received a full ride scholarship to play football at the University of North Carolina at Chapel-Hill in 1993.

- Standard Math Sessions – $50/hr (Weekend $60/hr)
- Intermediate Math Sessions – $60/hr (Weekend $70/hr)
- Advanced Math Sessions – $70/hr (Weekend $80/hr)
- College Math Sessions – $80/hr (Weekend $90/hr)
