Meet Pacer Fisher of East Tennessee, Morristown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pacer Fisher.

Pacer Fisher

Hi Pacer, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My parents were both singer/songwriters with numerous publishing concerns with labels and companies when I was growing up. I showed interest and love for music early but actually didn’t get serious with it until I was about 25. I know they both had a huge influence on me and helped me hone my craft. I started out in a couple cover bands in Texas and played the southwestern circuit traveling from Texas to California and back. In 2015 I started working on crafting more songs and writing became full time. I was able too release my first EP album in 2018 entitled ( Beautiful Ride ) which gave me some good airtime back home in Tennessee and eventually throughout most of Appalachia. My father passed in May of 2018 and it took a toll. I shut down for a year then outta nowhere a publisher picked me up and signed me in late 2019. But the very next year Covid kinda crushed my album release and tour I was scheduled for. Eventually in 2023 I began writing again and with persistent yet passionate drive from venue owners , fans , friends and family I started working on my brand new full length album ( Trust In Some Country ) in spring of 2024. I’m now continuing to perform primarily in the Appalachia region of KY , VA, NC and TN pushing new music off this album and enjoying the blessings of “ Never to Late too Make your Mark.”

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Oh Lord , between sickness and the passing of both my mother & father to COVID shut downs and losing my label deal. It’s all been a learning experience with a fare share of curveballs along the way. All in all my worst fear was “ would I reach a point or age that music wouldn’t want me?” I found that music is there for you always and it’s never too late to chase that dream. Especially with a fantastic wife , great fans , friends and family members always supporting you and having your back.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I turned more to the art of Songwriting in recent years. My love for music and live performances has been and will always be a part of my journey. But through it all the songwriting is where my heart has always been. I have definitely been proud of the last several years performing on big stage’s opening for large crowds and popular acts. But my greatest achievement and accomplishments have been within the recording studio and publishing community in the last few years definitely hands down. Recently I’m most proud of starting my own publishing & productions company ( Wayward Man Music Group!)

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Definitely having someone or several someone’s to look up to and learn from is a plus is this business! From my parents too hit Nashville , Austin and L.A. based writers I’ve networked with throughout the years. In just my corner of East Tennessee I’m blessed to know and work with several outstanding writers and performers and constantly learn from them.
