Hi Olivia, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What battle are you avoiding?
Choosing what is my best schedule for me now that I have a baby. Being a stay at home mom and being there for my child is my 3rd biggest priority other than serving our lord and savior & being a good wife🩷 so finding that balance is something I’m juggling right now. But it’s one I would do over and over again.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! I’m Olivia & I own my photography business, Olivia Nicole Photography Nc📸
I am a portrait photographer. I major in portraits and minor in social media managing. I take on sessions as I can & manage business social media accounts as well. I feel as if my branding is unique bc I offer both light and airy editing or dark & moody. It brings people in to see you can do more than just one thing as well as I make sure to promote light and airy editing as my main editing style. I hope to grow more with that too!
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My friend Kayla. From day 1 she has had the most faith in me and my work. She is the one who took me on at a young age and walked me, and continues to walk me, through every tough season. I will forever be grateful for my husband’s family introducing her to me.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, because sometimes I feel as if I’m chasing a dream I once had because I no longer want the same things I did when i started out. I would now love to open a studio & showcase it for people to use. I think that would be so so fun. I also would love to add on hair up-do styles as an add on for sessions and attend cosmetology school for it. My thought on this is moms who are doing maternity shoots who want their hair done professionally or bridal portraits, etc.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes! I am a very faith based photographer and who I am at a session is who I am at home, just with a tad more professional manner🙈 I want every single client of mine to feel as comfortable with me as they would their family.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
That I was a dedicated worker to help people, couples, and families feel beautiful in all of their photos. That I always tried to make right of a situation even if I was out of control of what was going on.
