Conversations with Caitlin Ackler

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caitlin Ackler.

Hi Caitlin, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
At 24 years old, I found myself searching for more than just a career — I wanted something soul-filling. I craved a path where I could make people feel welcomed, seen, and comfortable in their own skin. I didn’t just want a job… I wanted a purpose.
That purpose revealed itself through lashes.
What started as a simple service slowly became the foundation of who I am. Every full set, every refill, every smile in my chair taught me that enhancing someone’s natural beauty is so much deeper than an appointment — it’s connection, confidence, and care. Lashes didn’t just transform my clients… they transformed me. They gave me direction, independence, and the courage to build something bigger than myself.
In 2024, I took that leap and opened the doors to The Beauty District.
What began as a vision soon grew into a space filled with warmth, artistry, and possibility. Today, it’s more than a salon — it’s a community. An environment where women empower women, where creativity thrives, and where clients become friends.
My mission has always been simple:
To create a place where every person who walks in feels valued, supported, and beautiful — inside and out.
The Beauty District is my heart.
It’s the dream I built from the ground up.
It’s where I learned that beauty is connection, artistry is healing, and confidence is life-changing.
And I’m just getting started.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all — but every challenge shaped me into the artist and businesswoman I am today.
When I started The Beauty District at 24, I was young, ambitious, and driven by pure passion. I poured everything into my work — my time, my energy, my heart. And because I wanted to give my clients the absolute best, I said yes to everyone.
Before I knew it, I was working constantly, double-booking without realizing it, stretching myself too thin, and juggling more than any one person should. At the time, I didn’t even recognize the signs of burnout. I thought overworking myself meant I was doing something right — when in reality, I was slowly draining myself.
Running a salon, maintaining clients, managing artists, dealing with property issues, and trying to keep up with the demands of entrepreneurship… it was a lot. Some days I felt like I was holding everything together with sheer willpower. Other days, I questioned whether I was in over my head.
But looking back, those hard seasons taught me everything I needed to grow.
I learned boundaries.
I learned how to protect my energy.
I learned that being busy isn’t the same as being successful.
And most importantly, I learned that I can rebuild myself, my business, and my life — even in the middle of chaos.
Stepping into my new chapter in Florida and expanding my brand pushed me to create healthier systems, refine my craft, and grow into a more confident, balanced version of myself. Today, I’m not just an artist — I’m a business owner who understands sustainability, structure, and self-worth.
The road hasn’t been smooth, but it’s been meaningful.
And every challenge — from burnout to booking mistakes to overwhelming myself — has shaped me into who I am today: resilient, grounded, and more dedicated than ever to creating beautiful spaces where women can feel empowered.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a licensed esthetician and a lash artist with over five years of experience, specializing in customized lash extensions that are tailored to each client’s natural features, lifestyle, and personal style. My work goes far beyond “just lashes” — I focus on creating artistry, not assembly-line sets. Every map is thoughtful, every placement intentional, and every detail executed with the goal of making my client feel like the most confident version of themselves.
I’m known for my eye for detail, extremely clean work, and my ability to create lightweight, long-lasting lashes with exceptional retention. My clients come to me because they don’t want a one-size-fits-all service — they want something uniquely theirs. I take pride in studying eye shapes, natural lash patterns, and balance so that every set looks seamless, lifted, and effortless.
What sets me apart most is the environment I’ve built. The Beauty District started as a dream and quickly became a space where women empower women. My studio isn’t just a beauty appointment — it’s a place to breathe, reconnect, vent, laugh, and walk out feeling transformed. I care deeply about how people feel from the moment they walk in to the moment they leave.
I’m most proud of the fact that I built this business from the ground up at a young age, during a time when I was still finding myself. Lashes have changed my life — they gave me independence, stability, a creative outlet, and a community of incredible women I get to pour into every single day.
Seeing my clients leave my chair feeling beautiful and confident is truly the heart of what I do. And no matter how much my business grows, that will always be the part I am most proud of.

What makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is seeing people feel good about themselves — truly, deeply good. There’s a special moment that happens when a client opens their eyes after a lash service and you can literally see their confidence rise. That look, that energy shift, is something I will never get tired of. Knowing that my work can change how someone feels about themselves, even for a day, brings me so much joy.
I’m also happiest when I’m creating. Lashing is my form of art — mapping, shaping, lifting, and bringing a vision to life. It gives me a sense of peace and purpose that I’ve never felt with anything else.
Beyond my work, what really fills my heart is building a space where women feel safe, supported, and empowered. Creating an environment that feels like home — where clients can laugh, cry, vent, or just relax — makes me genuinely happy. That connection is everything to me.
And on a personal level, happiness to me is growth. Becoming a better version of myself, learning my boundaries, building my businesses, stepping into new chapters, and proving to myself that I can do hard things makes me feel proud and fulfilled.
At the end of the day, my happiness comes from people, purpose, and the little transformations — inside and out — that happen every day in my chair.
