Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Borne Jones.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always been drawn to structure, strategy, and the behind-the-scenes organization that keeps things running smoothly. My career began in healthcare more than 15 years ago, where I worked in project management, process improvement, operations leadership, and eventually served as a Chief of Staff. Those years taught me how to navigate complex systems, lead teams through change, and solve problems in ways that support growth and long-term stability while keeping the patient experience at the forefront.
When I returned to corporate after maternity leave with my second daughter, I knew almost immediately that something had shifted. The work was familiar, but the season of life was different. I gave notice and stepped away, and soon after, my mom became sick and passed. That period forced me to slow down, prioritize my family, and reassess what I wanted next. During that time, business owners began reaching out for help with the operational challenges that were holding their teams back. Consulting became a natural fit, and I found myself working with established service-based companies that needed a strategic partner to guide their growth and support the implementation work that brings their goals to life.
That’s why I launched my consulting business. Today, I partner with CEOs to strengthen their operational strategy, develop high-performing teams, and ensure their projects and priorities move forward with clarity and consistency. My work blends strategic planning, structured implementation, and real accountability. It is the partnership I wish more visionary business owners had access to, because the right strategy and operational alignment can transform the way they lead and grow.
I’m now proud to serve clients across the country while raising my daughters and building a life we love here in the Triad. It has been a winding path, but every step, from corporate leadership to entrepreneurship, has shaped the way I support business owners today.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely not been an easy road. Leaving a stable corporate career brought a lot of uncertainty, and I worried about what others would think, especially since my background had been so rooted in healthcare. I also had to learn to trust that my experience in large, complex systems would translate well to the businesses reaching out for support.
During the same time, I was navigating the loss of my mom and raising two daughters while trying to build something new. I put a lot of pressure on myself to have the perfect website, branding photos, and offers, instead of accepting that entrepreneurship is built through pivots, learning, refining, and showing up consistently.
Those challenges helped me clarify who I serve and the kind of work I want to do. They also showed me that many CEOs do not simply need consulting. They need a strategic partner who can support both the strategy and the implementation that brings their goals to life.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My consulting practice is built around one core mission: to help service-based business owners step out of the day-to-day and into the CEO role their business needs. I do this through a blend of strategic planning, operational structure, project management, and team alignment that supports real, sustainable growth. Every business is different, so my work centers on creating customized, strategic plans that align with the company’s mission, vision, and goals, while also considering their leadership and team capacity.
For established businesses with five or more team members, I serve as a Fractional Director of Operations or COO. These companies often have a clear vision, but their growth is limited by operational gaps, unclear processes, or the need to connect strategy with daily execution. I step in as a strategic partner to support the CEO, guide the team, and move the business forward. This includes setting priorities, managing key projects, aligning the team, strengthening internal communication, developing and tracking KPIs, and turning big ideas from the whiteboard into implementation.
For solopreneurs and smaller businesses, I offer coaching and accountability that provide the clarity and structure they need to keep moving forward. Many early-stage business owners do not need full operational leadership yet, but they do need help determining what to focus on now, what to improve next, and how to build strong foundations without feeling overwhelmed.
What sets my brand apart is the combination of strategy, customization, and implementation. I do not hand over a playbook and step back. I partner with business owners to ensure the work is actionable, achievable, and aligned with the business they want to build. My clients value the balance of big-picture thinking and hands-on leadership because it allows them to focus on vision, growth, and culture while knowing the operational and financial side of the business is well-supported.
Brand-wise, I am most proud that my work brings clarity. When CEOs feel overwhelmed or unsure how to move their business forward, I help them cut through the noise, make confident decisions, and build a structure that supports both their goals and their life. The result is a business that runs more efficiently, grows sustainably, improves profitability, and allows the owner to lead with intention.
How do you define success?
Success, for me, is showing up well as a wife, mom, and leader in both my community and my business. For my clients, it means gaining clarity, improving profitability, and creating a business that supports their life rather than competing with it.
