Community Highlights: Meet Nick Pindale of Photo Perfect Photobooth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nick Pindale.

Hi Nick, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my photo booth rental company while a sophomore at UNCW, February 2016 while working towards a business degree specializing in Entrepreneurship. I started out with a self-built photo booth that I stored in my dorm and continued to use it until 2019 when I upgraded to the Open Air Photo Booths we use today. We now have a total of 6 booths – 3 Open Air Photo Booths, a Magic Mirror Photo Booth, a Standard 360 Video Booth, and an Overhead 360 Video Booth – as well as a DJ!

We provide services to all kinds of events and have worked with a variety of both local & global companies – from events sponsored by Coca Cola, Wells Fargo, McDonalds, etc to private birthdays, weddings, holiday parties, fundraisers, and so much more!

I got the idea to start a photo booth company from working for a photo booth company in Baltimore, MD while I was Freshman at UMBC before I transferred to UNCW. It was the best job a college kid could ask for – I was getting paid to go to parties and have fun with the guests! When I came to UNCW and thought about what kind of business I wanted to start, I couldn’t imagine any other business that brought so much joy to others or something that I could find as much enjoyment doing, so I created Photo Perfect Photobooth!

Thought it was a slow start getting it going while in college, after I graduated in 2018, it really started to take off. I began doing a lot of weddings and became the highest & best rated photo booth company on Google in Wilmington! It has been an amazing journey 🙂

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Since I was in college and didn’t have much capital to start with, I had to do all of my marketing on my own instead of hiring someone. I built my website, did networking, cold outreach, etc. It took a few years to really build my credibility and improve the quality of service I was providing to become that of the best.

2020 also proved to be a challenge… During COVID, nearly all of our events were either cancelled or postponed, This made 2020 I difficult year to stay afloat, but we managed to hang in there. 2021 and 2022 became incredible years since so many of the weddings we had scheduled in 2020 got postponed, so it was worth the struggle.

Due to some economic uncertainty this year and forecasted in 2026, there has been some annual events that had cut back on their budgets and chosen not to have us and fewer weddings interested in booking photo booths. We also had some events cancel in November 2025 due to the government shutdown… Also, the tariffs have driven up the costs of our services – this is one of the only years besides 2020 that I didn’t get new backdrops since their prices have gone up by so much and our paper and ink supplier also had to increase their prices, making each event more expensive to run.

But we are doing our best to stay price competitive and not increase our rates!

We provide Open Air Photo Booths, Magic Mirror Photo Booths, 360 Video Booths, and Dj services!

We specialize in weddings, but also other private events, company events, marketing events, everything really!

All of our services are all inclusive – unlimited prints, digital copies via SMS, AMAZING Props, personalized photo strip/video overlay designs, etc.

Our wedding packages are especially all inclusive – with no time limit, we are as flexible as needed for set up and we try to be the easiest vendor to work with since we know how stressful planning a wedding can be!

Other non-wedding packages start at up to 2 hours.

We have over 70 backdrops to choose from and hundreds of photo strip templates. We can also do custom photo strips and custom backdrops.

We also provide the Kardashian-Style / Glam Booth / B&W photos at no extra cost if that’s the experience our clients are looking for.

We can also print on 4×6 postcard prints instead of the standard 2×6 photo strips for a small upcharge – still unlimited prints!

We are working on introducing some new services that utilize AI for 2026!

What’s next?
We are looking into expanding into the Raleigh-Durham area – we already do events in the area, including the annual Cupid Run fundraising event every February.

We are also looking into new Ai features with our booths!

We just launched our new website and plan on introducing a blog soon for tips & tricks/need to knows about photo booths – like good pose ideas, cool things we’ve seen at weddings, etc.

  • Open Air Photo Booth – $597 for 2 hours, $100 for every additional hour
  • Magic Mirror Photo Booth or Standard 360 Video Booth – $697 for 2 hours, $100 for every additional hour
  • Wedding Photo Booth DJ Bundle: $1,999 – saving $200, if booked individually
