Today we’d like to introduce you to DJ Renaldo Creative.
Hi DJ Renaldo, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a Hip-Hop music DJ, journalist, producer, and host. I am also the program director at Inspir3 Radio. You can hear me on California’s Rhythm 105.9 FM, North Carolina’s Inspir3 Radio, Fleet DJS (Fleet Radio Network), 99.9 The Beat, Hits 1 UK, Fleet DJS MixShow Radio, and Fleet Caribbean Vibes Radio, or other stations. I was recently invited to join Atlantic City The Beat 105.1 FM.
My journey started in 1997 when I was a recording artist. Then, I became a DJ and journalist, sharing music and stories with audiences everywhere. I created BX25 Vixens Magazine and featured Erica Marie of Bad Girls Club on my first cover.
CANCER
In 2021, I was diagnosed with cancer. I continued to release a weekly show from his Hospital bed. Dan Matthews from Grammy Award Winning Klubjumber saw me releasing shows and offered me a radio job at KLZY-LP Jamz 99.9 FM in Salina, Kansas. I found his voice and style working at the station. I am is currently fighting multiple myeloma cancer. I’ve gone through 30 radiation treatments and over 100 chemotherapy treatments.
His discography includes a range of mixtapes and albums such as “Grind Hard 1.5,” “Grind Hard 2,” “Grind Hard 3,” the “Black Queen EP,” and the “Indie Heat Mixtape.”
I gain over 1,553 MixCloud Followers by releasing weekly mix shows and interacting with my listeners on Social Media.
I am also a professional photographer and graphic designer. I do the graphics for Inspir3 Radio. I love art and music. I am inspired by DJ Kaoss, DJ Eclipse, Funk Flex, Bobby Konders, Dexterity, DJ Coco Chanel, Big Kapp, DJ Kool Red Alert, DJ Drama, DJ Premiere, Pete Rock, etc.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I am fighting multiple myeloma cancer, and I don’t have much energy. I have to take a lot of medicine and visit the doctor a lot. I have had Kidney Failure, been really sick, and I was rushed to the ICU. Cancer keeps throwing stuff at you. I am weak also because I have a bone and blood cancer. I try not to let it stop me. I normally have a computer at the Hospital.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a professional radio DJ, Program Director, and music producer. I play a variety of music, including Hip-Hop, R&B, and Caribbean genres such as Reggae, Dancehall, and Soca. I select shows for my radio show and Inspir3 Radio. I edit my show sound so it sounds good on all radio stations. I produce my radio show, Grind Hard Mix Show, and Caribbean Vibes at home. The email is to all radio stations. I use a DAW, a mic, and a DJ Controller. I produce The VIP Room with DJ Tiffany Rose and Money Talk Keyshay Answers, making sure each show runs smoothly. I also talk with DJ at Inspir3 Radio and help them improve their shows, pick music for the station, remove or add shows, market the station, and more.
Winning my first award this year Intense Heat Award, and being nominated for 8 Southern Entertainment Awards. I add being alive still!
What does success mean to you?
I feel I am successful because my radio show and Inspir3 Radio make people feel good. I love hearing people say I remember this song or when a artists appreciate me or the other DJ for playing thier music. I love the social media reposts.
