Today we’d like to introduce you to Robin Bertram.
Hi Robin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in Virginia in a pastor’s home, where the Bible sat open on the kitchen table and faith was not just taught—it was lived. From the outside, my life looked anchored and secure. Inside, however, I would later discover that being raised around faith doesn’t automatically protect you from storms. Sometimes it simply gives you the tools you’ll need to survive them.
As a young woman, fear found me. Panic attacks came without warning, stealing my breath and my sense of safety. Depression followed closely behind, whispering lies that I was weak, broken, or destined to stay this way. I loved God, but I didn’t yet know how to fight with His Word. I was functioning, but I wasn’t free.
Then sickness entered my story. In my early 30s, I was diagnosed with severe arthritis. Pain became a daily companion, limiting what I could do and threatening what I dreamed. Doctors spoke clinically; my body spoke loudly. But God spoke louder. Through prayer, persistence, and faith that refused to let go, I experienced healing—real, undeniable healing. What once controlled my body no longer controlled my future.
Life didn’t slow down after that. I was involved in a serious car accident—my vehicle completely totaled. Metal crushed, glass shattered, the moment terrifying. Yet when it was over, I stepped out without a single scratch. I knew then, in a way that settled deep in my bones, that God’s hand had been over my life.
Still, some trials cut deeper than the physical. I walked through the unimaginable pain of having a child go missing. There are no words for that kind of agony—the hours of waiting, the fear that grips your soul, the desperate prayers whispered through tears. It was a season that tested everything I believed. But even there, God proved faithful. I survived what I once thought would destroy me.
Then came the words no one wants to hear. At the Mayo Clinic, I was given what could only be described as a death sentence: a fatal, devastating disease with a two-year life expectancy. No medicine. No treatment. No hope—at least not from a medical standpoint. I stood at the intersection of human impossibility and divine promise.
I chose to believe God.
Not blindly. Not passively. But fiercely.
God became my answer. The Bible became my roadmap. Faith became my power source. I anchored myself to truth when feelings failed. I learned that faith isn’t denial—it’s alignment. And I am still here!
Today, my story is no longer just about survival; it’s about purpose. What I overcame, I now help other women overcome. Fear no longer has the final word. Panic no longer dictates destiny. Depression no longer defines identity. I have learned that deliverance is real, healing is possible, and hope is never lost when God is involved.
I am living proof that storms don’t disqualify you—they prepare you. And if my journey says anything, it’s this: no matter the diagnosis, the detour, or the darkness, faith in God can carry you all the way through—and then turn your pain into a platform for others to rise.
As with many people, the opportunity to share and help people in need began in friend groups, churches and community. In time, this became the doorway to broader opportunities to speak, write, podcast, and even introduce my nationally syndicated TV program called “Freedom Today”, which was broadcast in the US and internationally for nine years. I have written and published three books during this time, mainly targeted at encouraging and empowering individuals, particularly women.
At no time had I envisioned this type of reach, but God has blessed me immensely in this endeavor, and I continue to look for new opportunities to speak at churches, conferences and retreats.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I started out my career, after I received my degree (Bachelors of Science in Psychology) as an optician, and ultimately managing an optometric practice. I then decided to step out of my career to focus on my young family and the call of ministry upon my life. I became involved in Christian media; VP Christina Women in Media
Here below is my bio for Christian media.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Risks- I stepped away from a lucrative career as a manager and optician of a successful optometric practice to follow what I believed was the call of God on my life. It was risky. At that time, my husband and I had a lifestyle that required a two-person income; a new house, two new cars, a new inground pool and two small children. It was a leap of faith to move into ministry, but I trusted that inner voice that was leading, guiding and directing my life. It was all worth the risk!
