Hidden Gems: Meet Dale Townsend of Destine to Make it fitness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dale Townsend.

Dale, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I moved to Charlotte in 2012 experiencing homelessness. Four years later, I was in full-time management in the food service industry. I later transitioned into mental health as a Certified Care Support professional while becoming a certified personal trainer. In 2017, I secured a gym contract, became fully self-employed in 2018, and opened my own gym in 2023. In 2025, I earned real estate licenses in North and South Carolina and opened a mental health agency—while continuing to operate my gym. My journey reflects resilience, purpose, and a commitment to helping others build stability and success.
