Meet Londeria Taylor of The Dr. Lonnie Marie Institute.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Londeria Taylor.

Hi Londeria, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey honestly didn’t start as a “business”—it started as me trying to heal and make sense of my own life.

I’ve been in education for over 20 years, serving as a teacher, instructional coach, and principal. On paper, I had accomplished a lot. But personally, I went through a divorce that really shifted everything for me. It forced me to slow down and ask deeper questions about identity, love, relationships, and honestly… myself.

That season is what led me into doing the real work—emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically. I started leaning into my faith, my healing, and my studies in Marriage and Family Therapy. Around that same time, I pursued my certification as a sexologist because I realized how many women—especially women over 40—are navigating life, relationships, and intimacy without real support or safe spaces to talk about it.

A lot of what I do now is rooted in lived experience, education, and training. I’m not just speaking from theory—I’ve lived through the confusion, the rebuilding, the loneliness, and the rediscovery.

Today, I bring together my background in education, my training in relationship dynamics, and my certification in sexology to support women in reclaiming themselves—emotionally, relationally, and intimately. My work focuses on helping women reconnect with who they are, understand their desires without shame, and build healthier relationships—with themselves and with others.

So this business didn’t just “start”… it evolved out of my own healing, my purpose, and my desire to create what I didn’t always have—a space where women can feel seen, supported, and whole.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have been a lot of starts, stops, pivots, and moments where I questioned if I was even on the right path. One of the biggest challenges was rebuilding after my divorce while still showing up professionally. I was used to being strong for everyone else, but I had to learn how to be honest about where I was without feeling like I was falling apart.

Another struggle has been stepping into this space publicly. Talking about intimacy, relationships, and sexuality—especially as a woman over 40—comes with opinions. I had to get comfortable being seen, being misunderstood, and still standing in my truth.

There’s also been the challenge of building something new. Shifting from education into coaching and sexology isn’t a straight line. I’ve had to learn business, marketing, content creation—all while figuring out how to clearly communicate what I do without blurring lines or confusing people.

And if I’m being real, there have been quiet seasons too. Times where things felt slow, where I wasn’t getting the engagement or clients I expected, and I had to stay consistent anyway. That part will test you.

But every struggle has stretched me. It’s made me more grounded, more clear, and more aligned in what I offer and who I’m called to serve.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Dr. Lonnie Marie Institute is a space designed for high-achieving women who are ready to reconnect with themselves—emotionally, relationally, and intimately.

I specialize in helping women, especially over 40, navigate life transitions like divorce, burnout, or disconnection, and come back into alignment with who they truly are. My work focuses on intimacy, identity, and relationship dynamics in a way that is both grounded and transformative.

What sets me apart is the integration. I don’t separate personal growth, intimacy, or real life—I bring it all together in a way that feels honest, safe, and elevated. This isn’t surface-level work. It’s about real clarity, confidence, and embodiment.

I offer group coaching experiences, as well as select individual and couples sessions, along with digital offerings like Pamper Me: Sexy & Sacred and my podcast The Daily Push. Each space is designed for real growth—not just insight, but lived change.

I’m most proud of how authentic and consistent my brand is. It speaks directly to women who are ready for more—without apology.

At its core, my work is about one thing: helping women come back to themselves fully, and operate from that place in every area of their lives.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I don’t think of myself as a “risk-taker” in the traditional sense—I think of it more as obedience and alignment.

Some of the biggest decisions I’ve made looked like risks on the outside. Leaving leadership in education, going through a divorce, relocating, and building something new without a clear roadmap… those weren’t small moves. There was no guarantee, no perfect timing, and definitely no step-by-step plan.

But for me, it came down to this—staying the same started to feel like a bigger risk than changing.

I’ve learned that risk isn’t always loud or impulsive. Sometimes it’s quiet. It’s choosing yourself. It’s walking away from what no longer fits. It’s being willing to be seen in a new way, even when people don’t fully understand it yet.

Even in business, there’s risk in showing up consistently, in speaking on topics that aren’t always comfortable, and in building something that reflects who you truly are instead of what’s expected.

So my perspective on risk now is this: if it aligns with who I’m becoming, I’m willing to take it. Not recklessly—but intentionally.
