Meet Kicherra Chisolm of Rock Hill, SC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kicherra Chisolm.

Hi Kicherra , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
– wanted to be a fashion designer as a child
– went to the Art Institute of Charlotte for fashion merchandising and marketing
– In 2016 I began teaching art lessons for early childhood facilities
– In 2017 I became the resident artist for a local art studio. I held this title for 6 years.
– in 2022 I began teaching private art lessons.
– 2023 featured in first art show
– 2023 commissioned to do a live painting for a Women conference
– 2025 featured in second art show
– 2025 created a mural for a local business
– 2026 featured in 3rd art show

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
People respecting my time, effort and talent. There has been multiple times where people requested for me to sketch or create something for them. I have had several experiences where I spent multiple hours and money on work that wasn’t valued in respected. I learned to utilize an artist agreement or contract, so that my time and resources are respected.

I teach private adult and children art lessons.

I began teaching cursive handwriting lessons this year.

I’m working towards a certification to teach yoga to kids
