Hi Phillipe, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
What started and motivated me was the seed of encouragement and belief that Rudy Narace and Sagalovich had given to me, To pursue a career in Fashion Design.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a challenge pursuing a career in the fashion industry. Some of the struggles and issues that I have encountered, have been with photographers, videographers, designing, and photoshoot locations. These have been some of issues that I have definitely ran into.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m originally from Newport News Virginia. I currently live in Shelby North Carolina. Where the birth of Doc Skippy began. I’m a 20 year US Army Veteran, now currently a Diesel Mechanic and a Fashion Designer. At very young and all throughout school I have always been fascinated and intrigued with Art. The brighter the better. I was succeeded and surrounded by graffiti and abstract designs. Which became an environment of beauty to me.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Discipline, determination, staying motivated. and never giving up.
