Today we’d like to introduce you to Seema Tiwari.
Hi Seema, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Came to America in 2002, got busy in the IT world… and fell in love with exploring this country. Gave birth to two beautiful kids and called Massachusetts home for almost a decade, but found it a little too cold… so I followed the sunshine south
From Massachusetts chills to southern sunshine… and in Charlotte, a pause without work reminded me—dance was never just a hobby, it’s a part of me.
I realized how much I missed dancing
Sometimes slowing down shows you what your heart truly misses—and for me, it was dance
Restarted dancing when my baby was 10 months old—and it became my forever again. What started as my comeback became a journey for so many women to rediscover their love for dance
What began as a passion turned into a purpose… I started doing charity shows to help those in need, and that’s when I found my true calling. Dance gave me joy… but giving back through it gave me purpose
This is my journey now… to bring joy through dance and support those in need, for as long as I can
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road is never smooth, but if you have a dream or passion… follow it
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
IT professional by day, Bollywood dance teacher by weekend
Coding through the week, dancing through the weekend.
I believe in a world full of stress, dance is therapy, it heals, it uplifts, it brings joy
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Dance is universal—music may be understood differently, but the joy it brings is the same for all
