Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael West.
Hi Michael, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Started in 2006 by the Wests with the property purchase, planted the fist vines in 2007, bottled the first wine in 2009. Opened the tasting room in Spring 2009. Owned by two families (Michael and Patricia West) and (Leslie Messick and Paul Baumbach). 16 acres of vines (VSP and Open Lyre), Eleven varietals. Total of 91 acres. Currently make 15 wines.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It took a few years for the public to find us but after about 2013 it has been relatively smooth.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are known for our variety of wine types, the beautiful property, a herd of 75 llama on the property, and a relaxed comfortable setting to enjoy wine.
