Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Holden.
Hi Ryan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started learning construction as a kid because when I would visit my grandfather he would be working on his house. I started working at my first construction job around the age of sixteen. I realized at a very young age that I had a passion for creating things with my hands.
I started out in a pickup truck and convinced three other people to start working with me. Before we knew it, we had a fleet, an office and a warehouse. We worked hard to get projects done and I continued on and those other three people did not.
We are honest, hardworking people that collaborate as a team to make our clients dreams turn into reality.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not always been a smooth road. The struggles along the way have with things such as employee turnover or when Covid occurred. So I learned to implement a continuity plan for when staff change or if someone is sick. That way the culture is fluid, cohesive and isn’t reliant on a single individual.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a design build remodeling firm. I am a licensed general contractor. We design and remodel whole residences, build custom additions, remodel kitchens, build porches and remodel bathrooms.
Our sister company is where the custom home building gets done.
I am most proud of the incredible staff that we have. These are honest, hardworking people who strive to do their very best at what they do and they have a passion for it too.
What sets us apart from others is we are the only design build remodeling firm that I know of that provides full in house service from conceptual design to completion. We take our clients dreams and turn them into reality. We also have direct long term relationships we have built with material venders as well as our licensed tradesmen that we work with. We have created a process that makes sense for our clients and works well to get the job done.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is the positive impact that I make on others around me.
This matters to me because I know that tangible things come and go. I can make a positive impact on those around me that can create ripple effect that is far greater than I am.
