Hi Teal, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I began my esthetics career in late 2019, initially drawn to lash extensions and the dream of entrepreneurship. After discovering the licensing requirements in Florida, I enrolled in esthetics school, where I quickly fell in love with skincare and helping others. After graduating from Eastern Florida State College, I built an in-home salon suite to serve my neighborhood, later refining my skills at a local spa. Upon relocating to Texas, I took a leap of faith to launch Luuxe Esthetics, signing my first suite without a single client—a bold step that successfully established my business.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, and I’ve certainly faced my share of hurdles. In 2022, following a divorce, I had to close my salon suite and relocate to Kannapolis, North Carolina. I returned to corporate America to establish some stability while continuing to do lashes on the side. Throughout that season, my faith never wavered; I knew that if God had built my business once, He could do it again. That belief kept me moving forward, and within a year of being back, I was able to successfully re-open Luuxe Esthetics.
We’ve been impressed with LuuXe Esthetics, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Luuxe Esthetics is a safe space and is dedicated to providing the highest quality of service to each and everyone of my clients. My interest is not only to strive for excellence but to make clients feel beautiful and confident in their skin. My clients wellness is my priority. Luuxe Esthetics specializes in result-driven corrective treatments, luxury customized facials as well and lash extensions. Every service that Luuxe Esthetics offers is tailored to each individual client. What sets Luuxe Esthetics apart is we welcome and value you the moment you call or some into the spa. I want to make each and every interaction with my clients memorable. I am so proud of the brand that I’ve built as well as the trust I’ve built with my clients. As an esthetician, my brand is rooted in education. I take pride in never just performing a service and sending my clients out the door. By teaching them about their skin and creating personalized treatments and at-home routines, I’ve built a loyal client base that trust my recommendations. What do I want readers to know is… My goal is to give clients the knowledge and confidence to achieve long-term skin health. My brand isn’t just about superficial beauty; it’s about skin health and confidence.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I believe that empathy is my most important quality. Sometimes when clients come to me they often feel vulnerable about their skin concerns. By actively listening, I not only make them feel safe, but I can truly understand their concerns and goals for their skin. This alone allows me to customize treatments tailored to their specific skin type.
