Inspiring Conversations with Elizabeth Baltazar Soria of Lizzy Spices Of Life LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Baltazar Soria.

Hi Elizabeth, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ am originally from Dudley, North Carolina, and my journey has been built on faith, resilience, kindness, and learning how to keep going even during uncertain seasons of life. My story is not one of overnight success or having everything figured out it’s the story of someone who keeps showing up, keep believing, and keeps building anyway.

English wasn’t my first language, so putting myself out there, speaking publicly, starting businesses, and believing in my own voice did not come naturally to me. There were many moments where fear, doubt, and insecurity tried to convince me to stay small. But over time, I realized that growth only happens when you’re willing to take the step before you feel fully ready.

One of the biggest moments in my journey was sharing my story publicly on the Curveball podcast. That experience meant a lot to me because I didn’t share the “perfect” version of my story I shared the real one. I talked about starting with very little besides faith, vision, and determination. I talked about choosing purpose over comfort, continuing to move forward even when things felt slow, and learning to trust God through every season of uncertainty.

Currently, I’m building my career in the life insurance industry as an agent while also growing my own agency and beginning to build a team. At the same time, I’m continuing to build my food brand, Lizzy Spices of Life LLC, which was inspired by my love for food< family< culture, and entrepreneurship. What began as a dream connected to a food trailer has continued growing into a much bigger vision involving my signature dressing sauce, future restaurant goals, and eventually building Lizzy Enterprises headquarters using a food trailer and shipping container as the foundation.

I think it’s important for people to understand that I’m still building. I don’t have millions of dollars or a huge company yet. What I do have is faith, vision, consistency, and the willingness to keep working even when the process feels uncomfortable. I’ve taken lower-paying jobs while chasing bigger dreams. I’ve had seasons where I questioned myself. I’ve experienced personal setbacks, including an accident that temporarily paused part of my journey. But every challenge taught me resilience and reminded me why I started.

Something else I’ve learned along the way is that being kind in business and in life can sometimes lead to people taking advantage of you. I’ve experienced disappointment and moments where I realized not everyone around me truly supported me the way I supported them. But even through those experiences, I never want to lose my humility, kindness, or heart for people. I believe you can become stronger without becoming bitter.

At the end of the day, I hope my story inspires someone else who feels afraid to start, feels behind in life, or feels like their dream is too small. Every successful journey starts somewhere. Mine started with faith, a notebook, my kitchen, and the decision to keep going even when I was scared.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, but I believe the challenges I’ve faced have shaped me into the person I am today. One of the biggest obstacles has been learning how to keep believing in myself during seasons where things felt uncertain, slow, or difficult.

English not being my first language was something that made me doubt myself for a long time, especially when it came to speaking publicly, networking, and putting myself out there as an entrepreneur. I struggled with fear, insecurity, and wondering if I was “good enough” to pursue bigger opportunities. Over time, I realized that growth begins when you stop waiting to feel perfectly ready.

Another major challenge was experiencing personal setbacks, including an accident that temporarily paused part of my journey. That season forced me to slow down mentally, emotionally, and physically, and it reminded me how important resilience, patience, and faith truly are. There were moments where I questioned myself and wondered if my dreams were realistic, but deep down I knew I couldn’t give up on the vision God placed in my heart.

Financially, building from the ground up has also been challenging. I don’t come from unlimited resources or a perfect situation, so there were times I took lower-paying jobs while continuing to invest in my dreams and future goals. Right now, I’m still building step by step, and although I may not have the huge success story yet, I’m proud of the progress I’ve made through consistency and determination.

I’ve also learned that being kind and genuine can sometimes lead to disappointment when people take advantage of your heart or don’t support you the way you support them. Those experiences taught me the importance of boundaries, discernment, and protecting my peace while still remaining humble and kind.

At the end of the day, every obstacle has taught me something valuable. The challenges didn’t stop my journey they strengthened my faith, sharpened my mindset, and reminded me why I started in the first place.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Lizzy Spices of Life LLC was created from my passion for food, culture, entrepreneurship, and bringing people together. What started as a simple vision connected to a food trailer has continued growing into something much bigger. My long-term vision is to continue expanding into Lizzy Enterprises, which represents not only my food brand, but also the different businesses, goals, and projects I’m continuing to build through faith, consistency, and hard work.

Right now, I’m still in the building phase, and I think that’s what makes my story relatable. I don’t have a million-dollar company yet or a perfect success story. What I do have is vision, determination, faith in God, and the willingness to keep taking steps forward even when the process feels slow or uncertain.

One of the things that makes my brand different is that I lead with authenticity, kindness, and purpose. I believe people connect more with real stories than perfection. I’ve learned how to keep going through setbacks, self-doubt, financial challenges, and personal obstacles while continuing to believe in what I’m building.

Through Lizzy Spices of Life, I want people to feel inspired to dream bigger no matter where they start. Whether it’s through food, entrepreneurship, leadership, or sharing my journey publicly, my goal is to encourage others to keep believing in themselves and trust that small beginnings can grow into something meaningful.

One of the things I’m most proud of is continuing to build from the ground up. From my food trailer vision to creating a future headquarters using a shipping container and creative resources, every step represents faith, sacrifice, and growth. My vision for the shipping container is to create office space and headquarters for my businesses, including operations connected to my sauce dressing brand and shipping needs. Combined with my food trailer vision, it represents creativity, resourcefulness, and building with what I have while continuing to grow toward something much bigger.

I want people to understand that success doesn’t always begin with money or perfection sometimes it begins with vision, courage, faith, and simply refusing to give up.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
If there’s one thing I’d want readers to take away from my story, it’s that you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. So many people wait until they feel “ready,” but growth often starts the moment you decide to take the first step despite fear, doubt, or uncertainty.

I’m still building, still learning, and still growing every day, but I’ve learned that small beginnings should never be underestimated. Faith, consistency, resilience, and the willingness to keep going can take you further than perfection ever will.

I also want people to know that success looks different for everyone. Sometimes success is simply refusing to give up during difficult seasons. Sometimes it’s continuing to believe in your vision when nobody else fully understands it yet.

Most importantly, I hope my journey reminds others to stay kind, stay humble, protect their peace, and trust God’s timing through every stage of life and business.
