Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyndall Owens.
Hi Kyndall, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember. I’ve always enjoyed painting since I was little and never expected my love for art to turn into what it is today. Over time, it grew from something I did just for fun into a meaningful part of my life and eventually into opportunities to share my work with others. What started as a personal outlet has become a way for me to connect with people and tell stories visually.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Mostly, it’s been a smooth road. I have faced some subtle obstacles, such as not being accepted into certain exhibitions, but I’ve never let that discourage me. Instead, I’ve used those experiences as motivation to keep improving and refining my work.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a visual artist and painter whose work includes multiple creative avenues. I host paint classes, live paint at events such as fundraisers and weddings, and create custom commissioned pieces, in addition to developing my own personal work. I primarily work with acrylic on canvas and am especially drawn to rich tones of blue and yellow, which often appear throughout my pieces.
One of my proudest accomplishments is curating and coordinating my first solo exhibition, where I showcased my work at a large convention center and welcomed a few hundred attendees. That experience was a major milestone for me and reinforced my passion for sharing my art in meaningful, public-facing ways.
What sets me apart is that my practice extends beyond creating artwork, I also focus on building interactive art experiences for the community. I enjoy creating spaces where people can engage with art directly, and I’m also passionate about supporting and encouraging other artists as they grow their own creative businesses,
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
As an artist focused on sharing my God-given gift with others, the Bible and its scriptures are my primary source of guidance and inspiration. It helps ground me in my purpose and influences both how I approach my work and what I create. It continues to encourage me to operate with intention, gratitude, and excellence in all that I do.
