Rising Stars: Meet Erycka Anderson of North Carolina

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erycka Anderson.

Hi Erycka, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started creating content over 8 years ago with a simple goal: to share my experiences and help others navigate life a little more confidently. What began as a personal creative outlet eventually grew into a passion for storytelling, content strategy, and digital media.

Over the years, I built an audience across social media while simultaneously developing my professional career in content production. Today, I’m a multimedia producer for multiple brands and businesses and I create content on Youtube (@partyof1pod) and throughout social media from concept to completion across a variety of platforms and audiences. Along the way, I’ve had opportunities to create content for brands and organizations including Nike, Netflix, TOMS, Dreamville Festival, Unrivaled, and more.

Outside of my professional work, I continue to create content focused on lifestyle, home, personal growth, wellness, and intentional living. My passion is helping brands tell authentic stories while creating content that feels relatable, engaging, and trustworthy.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, but I believe those challenges have shaped both my career and who I am as a creator.

One of the biggest struggles has been learning how to balance creativity with real life responsibilities. While building my content platforms and navigating major personal transitions. There were seasons where growth felt slow, opportunities didn’t come as quickly as I hoped, and I questioned whether all the effort was worth it.

I’ve also had to overcome the pressure of comparison. In the content creation space, it’s easy to look at someone else’s success and feel like you’re falling behind. Over time, I learned that everyone’s journey is different and that consistency often matters more than overnight success.

Another challenge has been finding the style in which I share to others how to confidently show up online. As creators, we often feel pressure to fit into a specific box, but I’ve learned that the content that resonates most is usually the content that reflects who you truly are.

Looking back, every challenge taught me something valuable about resilience, patience, and trusting the process. Those experiences have helped me become a stronger storyteller, a better strategist, and someone who understands that meaningful growth rarely happens overnight.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
While I create content professionally, what I’m most passionate about is the content I create on my own platforms. Over the last year, I’ve grown my YouTube channel from 2,000 to over 21,000 subscribers by focusing on content that reflects the things I’m genuinely passionate about and experiencing in real time.

My content centers around financial literacy, personal development, faith, and intentional living. I enjoy sharing lessons I’m learning along the way, whether that’s paying off debt, building better habits, navigating career transitions, creating a home I love, or growing deeper in my relationship with God.

What I’m most proud of is the community that has formed around that content. Many people discover my channel looking for practical advice, but they stay because they connect with the honesty behind the message. I’ve learned that people aren’t necessarily looking for someone who has everything figured out, they’re looking for someone willing to share the journey.

One of the greatest blessings of this journey has been the people I’ve met along the way. By staying curious, remaining open to opportunities, and simply saying yes when doors opened, I’ve had the chance to work with and meet some incredible individuals, including Simone Biles, Ian Somerhalder, Ken Jeong, and VicBlends. Those experiences have reminded me that you never know where consistency, hard work, and a willingness to put yourself out there might lead.

I believe what sets me apart is my willingness to document the process rather than just the outcome. I’m passionate about helping others recognize that purpose often unfolds in seasons and that growth doesn’t always happen in a straight line. Through my content, I hope to encourage people to pursue the life they’ve been called to build while trusting God through each stage of the journey.

Outside of my personal platforms, I am also the founder of TXV Studios, a creative production company specializing in photo and video services. While visitors to my website will primarily see our wedding offerings and pricing, we also work with real estate professionals, small businesses, entrepreneurs, and personal brands through custom photo and video packages. You can view my work and learn more at txvstudios.com.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
If I’m being honest, my greatest mentor has always been my faith. My relationship with God has shaped how I approach my career, my relationships, and the goals I pursue. I certainly don’t have all the answers, and I’m far from perfect, but I find peace in knowing that I serve a perfect God who can bring purpose from every season and good from every challenge in His timing.

I also believe mentorship doesn’t always come from one person. Some of the greatest influences in my life are the people I have the privilege of doing life with every day. I’m incredibly grateful for my parents, my brother, and my boyfriend, Calvin, who has been an unwavering source of support and encouragement as I’ve pursued my dreams and passions.

One lesson I’ve learned is that the quality of your circle matters more than the size of it. I’ve never felt the need to have a large network because I’ve been blessed with a small circle of people who genuinely want to see me grow and succeed. Their wisdom, encouragement, and belief in me have been invaluable.

My advice to anyone looking for mentorship or community is to focus less on collecting connections and more on cultivating meaningful relationships. The right people will challenge you, encourage you, hold you accountable, and remind you who you are when you forget. A strong circle can change the way you see yourself, your purpose, and what’s possible for your life.
