Hi Zaria, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I got started by having to learn how to do my own hair. I grew up getting relaxers and then one day i stopped. This was during the time where not a lot of girls my age were going natural. I had to learn a lot through trial and error for a while and then youtube saved me. From there my interest in not just hair but everything beauty took off. I really got into doing my own hair and makeup and eventually got pretty good. My parents would tell me when i was in high school that i should enroll in cosmetology school but being young and hardheaded i didn’t listen. It wasn’t until during the pandemic i really considered it. I graduated in 2024 and got licensed the following year and it’s the best decision i could have made.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I wouldn’t say that it wasn’t a smooth road just more unexpected than anything. Cosmetology school wasn’t anything like i imagined it would be. I thought we would just spend all day learning different hairstyles but there’s actually a lot of science that goes into doing hair. And a lot of tests. I took a lot of written tests which was a bit of a struggle for me because i am more of a hands on/ visual learner. But, i am thankful to my instructors for their help and guidance.

I specialize in color services, silk presses, blowouts, two-strand twists, and loc retwists, with a strong focus on maintaining the health and integrity of my clients’ hair.What sets my brand apart is the personalized experience I provide. I believe every client deserves to feel seen, heard, and confident when they leave my chair. I take the time to educate my clients on proper hair care and create customized recommendations that fit their lifestyle and hair goals.I have built my brand on professionalism, consistency, and a genuine passion for helping people feel beautiful. Rather than focusing only on the final style, I focus on the overall health of the hair, ensuring my clients achieve long-term results instead of temporary fixes.One thing I am especially proud of is the trust and loyalty I have developed with my clients. What matters most to me is that my clients leave my chair feeling like their best self. There’s so much people dealing with with in their personal lives so i want to be sure that their experience with me is a relaxing and calming one while giving their hair the special attention it deserves.
