Hidden Gems: Meet Sharmaine Croutch of The Shift Coach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharmaine Croutch.

Sharmaine, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
If I’m honest, my story is really about learning to trust God even when I could not see the whole picture. Life has stretched me in ways I never expected. I have experienced loss, financial setbacks, becoming a single mom, starting over, and moments where fear tried to convince me to play small. I have questioned myself, wrestled with purpose, and wondered if I was really equipped for everything I felt God calling me to do. But every season taught me something I could not have learned any other way.

People know me today as a Realtor, author, speaker, and transformational coach, but those are just the platforms. The real work has been allowing God to transform me from the inside out. He has taken some of my deepest pain and turned it into purpose. Now, everything I do is centered around serving people. Whether I am helping someone purchase a home, encouraging women to overcome fear, or simply sharing my journey online, I want people to know they are not disqualified because life got hard. Some of the greatest things God will do in your life happen on the other side of obedience.

I am still becoming. I do not have every answer, but I have learned that you do not have to have everything figured out to take the next step. You just have to be willing to trust God enough to move.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all. If anything, the road has been full of unexpected turns. There were seasons where I felt like I was taking one step forward and three steps back. Trying to show up for my children, serve in ministry, build businesses, and still heal behind the scenes was not easy. There were days I smiled publicly while privately asking God, “Am I really built for this?”

Fear has been one of my biggest battles. Fear has kept me from moving forward when opportunities presented itself, whispered that I was not enough, and made me feel that starting over is too risky. I have had to make the decision over and over again to choose faith instead of fear.

One thing I have learned is that healing is not a destination. It is a daily decision. Every challenge has shaped my character more than it has defined my circumstances. Looking back, I would not erase those difficult seasons because they produced the woman I am today. They taught me resilience, deepened my relationship with God, and gave me the compassion to serve others from a place of experience instead of theory.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The Shift Coach was born out of my own journey of healing, overcoming fear, and learning that transformation starts from within. It is more than a coaching brand. It is a movement that helps people stop surviving and start living with intention, confidence, and purpose.

Through speaking, coaching, workshops, digital resources, and my book *Fear of An Overcomer: Reflections of His Grace*, I help people identify what has been keeping them stuck so they can shift into the life they were created to live. I believe lasting transformation is not about becoming someone else. It is about becoming who God has always called you to be.

What sets my brand apart is that I do not teach from theory. I teach from experience and biblical principles. I know what it feels like to question your purpose, to wrestle with your identity, and to wonder if your best days are behind you. Because I have walked that road, I can meet people with both compassion and practical strategies that help them move forward.

The thing I am most proud of is the impact. Hearing someone say they finally found the courage to heal, to start the business, to write the book, to leave what was holding them back, or simply believe in themselves again means more to me than any title or recognition ever could.

I want readers to know that The Shift Coach is a safe place for honest conversations and real transformation. You do not have to have it all together to begin. Sometimes the biggest shift in your life starts with one decision to stop letting fear make your choices. That is the work I am honored to be a part of every single day.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
