Rising Stars: Meet Iron Fist of North Carolina

Today we’d like to introduce you to Iron Fist.

Hi Iron, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hello! Growing up, there wasn’t a lot of guidance on Business and Economics, however this didn’t discourage me from dreaming. I had no idea of the origin or truth behind my vision, only an idea of how to begin and what it should look like. It was very exciting, every time I was able to put money aside for this “Passion project” and it distracted me enough, perhaps, that was the point! However, owning a business like an LLC is very expensive; like most things today, it’s a rich man’s game! I invested in my spirit, my ego, to allow the opportunity of a challenge of my choosing. I don’t even charge money for events anymore! That would make me tax liable, bureaucracy is not for the faint of heart! You could call it a side hustle, a hobby, or wasted savings, doing anything in an attempt to better your life is a fiscal risk; One, the average tax payer simply cannot take. Thats a big reason why I love Martial arts; it felt like something I could control, just by trying harder and smarter the next time. Even though Ju-Jitsu classes are expensive too! My venue provides a splendid alternative! Quick, get the word out!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I paid for everything out of pocket, so it took time to purchase speakers. Promotion on social media felt like a money sink.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I consider myself a producer, on a budget. I am known on Amazon as an Author; known for works such as “Gangsterizm” “The life and Times of Hilda” and “Welcome to Whirl island.”

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I am practicing to become a Saint! I haven’t heard back from the Vatican; however, it is written that it is the duty of the Saints to give food, clothes and money! I’ve been saving 4K (you get $10 back in interest like that) in Self Help Credit union, they told me the money saved there will go to needy people, because I prayed for this money I also go out of my way to tip,
