Today we’d like to introduce you to Azarae Renee.
Hi Azarae, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve been modeling for as long as I can remember. It’s always been something I’ve been passionate about, but sometimes the path you envision for yourself isn’t necessarily the path you end up taking.
Over time, I realized that I wanted to do more than just be in front of the camera. I became really interested in the creative and behind-the-scenes side of the industry, especially helping bring ideas to life and helping other models grow.
That vision eventually led me into model coaching, which I’ve been doing for the past two years. Today, I’m able to combine my experience as a model with my passion for creative direction, coaching, and helping others navigate the industry. It’s been an unexpected journey, but one that has allowed me to grow in ways I never originally imagined.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road is never completely smooth, especially when you’re constantly pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone. The modeling industry is definitely not for the weak-minded. It has taught me the importance of resilience, self-control, and learning how to handle rejection without taking it personally.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is how important it is to separate business from personal feelings. Not every opportunity will work out, and not every person you meet will have the same vision or intentions.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a model coach specializing in posing, which is what I’m best known for. I love helping models become more confident in front of the camera, understand their bodies, and learn how to make every pose intentional.
One of the things I’m most proud of is my Model Summer Series, which I recently wrapped up. It was a full summer of weekly classes where I had the opportunity to work with models consistently, watch them grow, and help them develop their confidence and skills over time. Seeing that growth week after week was incredibly rewarding.
What sets me apart is that I genuinely do this because I love it. Modeling and coaching are things I’m passionate about—not something I do simply because it pays my bills or creates a certain lifestyle. I’m here because I enjoy helping people discover what they’re capable of. I care about the craft, the growth, and the impact I can have on the models I work with, and I think that genuine passion is what makes my approach different.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I enjoy listening to podcasts and consuming content around mindset, confidence, entrepreneurship, and the creative industry. I also use social media as a resource—not just for entertainment, but to study other creatives, models, photographers, and coaches and see what’s working in the industry.
A lot of my growth also comes from simply being willing to learn through experience. Every class I teach, every model I work with, and every opportunity I take on teaches me something new.
