Today we’d like to introduce you to Lu Camy.
Lu, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I grew up among spiritual healers and artists in a town called Campo Grande in Brazil. I became an actress and theater producer working in Rio de Janeiro for many years. My lifestyle was detrimental to my health and spiritual growth.
After experiencing a burnout, I realized that something had to change.
I realized that I no longer wanted to maintain any structure built by the ego and I wanted to use my talents to empower people in a profound way.
For many years I traveled to different countries to study ancient wisdom and healing modalities, I’ve lived in monasteries in India and Nepal. I met with herbalists in Costa Rica and was initiated in shamanic practices in South America. I’ve studied with renewed teachers in the field of hypnosis, meditation, and dreamwork in USA.
I realized that my creativity and my intuitive gifts could be used to heal not only myself but others.
I now have an international hypnotherapy practice and I am able to work with people from all over the world doing the work I love.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
When we break free from the ego identifications, we lose our false sense of safety. There is some emptiness that comes along with the process of letting go of what no longer serves us. In that period, I just tried to be gentle with myself. I was learning how to listen to my soul again. I wanted to create a work life that was aligned with my spiritual values.
It is so amazing when we are able to create a work life that provides not only deep contentment to ourselves but to others. Only with a deep sense of self-appreciation and gentleness, we can do that.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a certified hypnosis practitioner and intuitive guide. I have helped many people, specially women, to overcome trauma, chronic pain, and self-imposed limiting beliefs. I called what I do a “Soul Alignment Experience”. It is about living a life that is more aligned with our deepest desires or our soul’s purpose.
In my sessions, we explore the emotional cause of suffering. Sometimes we do past life regression to understand more about what the client is holding on and release that past story.
It is a beautiful and profound soul work.
I also bring creative practices to my sessions as a way to allow the unconscious mind to speak more freely. I believe that art can help us heal.
I offer monthly groups for women that I want to create space for self-transformation.
In the “Soul Purpose Membership” I host dream circles, soul expression sessions, and group supports.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
For those who are just starting out their process of living in alignment with their life’s purpose I would say: “Be patient”. There is no need to rush. Give yourself permission to explore what lights you up. Give yourself free time.
If we are constantly busy or dealing with external demands, we have no space to create transformation in our lives or to be creative.
