Hidden Gems: Meet Davin Kearney of FatBoys Kitchen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Davin Kearney. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Davin, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have been in the Raleigh area for over 30 years. Most of my corporate employment has been in the beverage or food industry so as you can see I definitely enjoy servicing others. I ran another food business called Smoking Grill Co. and catered exclusively to Xerox Corporation employees. I then opened a mobile food unit business to reach more companies to be able to serve them during their lunch hours. Now we have expanded to serving at local breweries, apartment communities, neighborhood clubhouses, and even major concert events such as the Dreamville Festival held at Dorothea Dix Park. I truly enjoy this industry.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Initial struggles of trying to find shifts are places and shopping centers to serve at who were food truck friendly. The industry has changed within the past five years and especially with the pandemic wanting more outdoor event(s) people have been more open to have food trucks on their properties.

FatBoys Kitchen offers a delicious array of favorite menu items and specializes in hand-padded angus beef gourmet burgers including: The Fatty Burger with signature Fatty Fries, black bean Veggie Burger, Seafood (fish/shrimp/crab), Steak & Chicken Philly’s, and 13 Flavors of Wings.

FatBoys is a one-stop-shop Kitchen. There’s no need for the whole family to eat at multiple places to suit everyone’s taste. At our Kitchen meat lovers are satisfied, vegetarians are happy, & munchers are elated. Our menu covers everyone & has savory selections.
