Today we’d like to introduce you to Razz Artis.
Hi Razz, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always had a passion for fitness. Back in 2015, I was diagnosed with FNH Liver Lesions.. (Not cancerous). In 2016, I underwent surgery to remove the tumors from my liver. It was a very long and hard recovery. During my recovery, I learned so much about myself and became thankful for so many things I had taken for granted. I made a promise to God and myself that after my recovery, I would lead a healthy lifestyle. I recovered fully and started RazzFit, LLC. I wanted to help others achieve their health and fitness goals. My clients inspire and motivate me to be the fitness coach I am today. I feel amazing knowing that I am helping others reach and maintain their goals.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was a bumpy road at the start of my journey but now things a smoothing out. Running a business is full of ups and downs. My motto is “it’s not how you start, but how you finish”. The main struggle that I had was coming out of my shell and telling people about my business. It’s kinda hard to just walkup and asks someone do they work out. I’d also say time management has been a struggle. Fitness is my passion so I’ll go hours and take client after client and before I’d even realize, my entire day was gone. I’m learning as I go and getting better.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize is women’s fitness. I’m mostly known for my group workout classes. $2 Tuesdays are something that people enjoy with their entire families weekly. I am mostly proud of my consistency and ability to connect with others. One of the things that set me apart from others is my ability to make others feel comfortable and my openness with my clients. If I have an off day, I let my clients know. I never want to appear perfect, I have the same struggles that they have and I want them to know.
How do you define success?
I define success as feeling like you’re doing what you’re meant to do. For me, that’s helping others. When your work does not feel like work, that’s what I call success.
