Pineapple Sol is located in lovely Durham, North Carolina and was founded by two talented female entrepreneurs, Dahiana Vitabar and Aleena Azhar. Vitabar and Azhar’s parents migrated to America, making them first-generation minority women, Americans, and big dreamers.
Their vision was always to do something that would bring people together inspired by their love of food and their community. And so, Pineapple Sol was born, connecting people through unparalleled catering and magical experiences.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Dahaina and Aleena encountered some obstacles during the creation of Pineapple Sol. From picking a name to branding and not having a storefront location, it is truly a challenge. But everyday, the two entrepreneurs continue to grow the business and themselves to reach their goals.
Dahaina is a single mom of two boys who has been working in the restaurant and hospitality industry since she was 16. She has always had a deep passion for food thanks in part to her mother’s Italian background and watching her family make homemade pasta and wine as a child.
Aleena is from California, and her parents are from India. She has a background in marketing and has worked for world-renowned businesses. Aleena wanted to take her passion for food and her community to the next level with the creation of Pineapple Sol.
