Today we’d like to introduce you to Noah Crawford.
Hi Noah, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
As a teenager, I had an entrepreneurial spirit but never truly knew when and how I would start my first business. Starting right out of high school (2017), I began to start shooting low-budget music videos for local artists with just myself and a camera. This new venture that I started was motivated out of boredom and a curiosity of where it might take me. As I continue to meet new people and improve on my skills as a filmmaker, I fell in love with my craft and invested thousands into better equipment and learning resources. This led to my decision to drop out of the community college I was attending to put 100% of my focus into my production company, NJC visuals.
Today, I produce several music videos a month for artists all along the east coast and lead a small crew of hard-working individuals. I’m responsible for managing multi-thousand dollar budgets to deliver the best quality product to my clients. At 21 years old, I’m blessed to be making six figures in income in my 4th year in business. I have plans to move to Charlotte, NC, by the end of 2021 and discover new artists/music to work with.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve had plenty of struggles, from life-changing events to last-minute problems arising for videos we’ve been planning for weeks. Two years ago, my mother was almost killed by a drunk driver, which drastically changed my family’s life. I suddenly had to step in and help her along the path of a long recovery. Since she was a single mother, a lot of her responsibilities became mine.
Thankfully, with the flexibility of my business, I was able to continue making income and being there to drive her to different appointments and surgeries all the way from Durham to Greenville, NC.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in producing and managing high production value music videos. I’ve been rated as one of the top 5 music video directors in the state by popular music blog Fucious TV. The artists that hire me love the creative concepts that my team is able to come up with.
I’m most proud of the brand that I’ve built and the following I’ve gained on Instagram with NJC visuals. What sets me apart is my ability to come up with creative ideas and put all the pieces together to make each video happen.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
My determination, eagerness to invest, and my ability to problem-solve have led me to continue building my business to new heights.
