Exploring Life & Business with Sarah Hess of Claire Bella Couture

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Hess.

Hi Sarah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Claire Bella Couture was born from a love of creativity and an of vintage and timeless style. I am a marriage and family therapist by trade, and I continue to work in private practice along with running my children’s clothing business. I started by creating hairpieces and crowns for my daughter, and I began designing and having clothing manufactured about a year into the business. I do not have any business or marketing degrees, and I have been entirely self-taught surrounding all aspects of the business, locating production teams, and designing clothing. I would say that I’ve gotten as far as I have due to sheer willpower and determination. I believe if one path isn’t taking you where you want to go that you need to pause, re-evaluate, and try another direction.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Establishing my children’s clothing business has not been a smooth road. It’s been a constant process of educating myself about the various aspects of business, establishing relationships with existing and potential clients, managing all of the social media and website, and working around the clock communicating with production teams while balancing my career and making time for my number one priority which is my family.

As you know, we’re big fans of Claire Bella Couture L.L.C . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Claire Bella Couture L.L.C specializes in children’s clothing and accessories for ages baby-12. We are known for our custom canvas crowns, the product that the business began with. All of the clothing is designed by me and brought to life by our production teams. I am proud that we are in inclusive brand and support diversity.
