Today we’d like to introduce you to Lily Salyer.
Hi Lily, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
It all started when my very close friend who is like a sister to me became a professional photographer (@denise.renee.photo). She asked me to model for her to help promoting, and after that she told me she thinks that I could actually be really good at that type of stuff. That then led to multiple photo shoots at many different places around the triangle and posting these photos. This then got the attention from local brands and made it so I was able to start actually working with them to promote their company and share more about them. Now every week, I’m taking pictures and creating content, reaching out to brands, and speaking to so many locals and others!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I have been pretty lucky with having a pretty easy road to success. I think the hardest part though is the occasional encounter with a brand who thinks that I’m not good enough just because I don’t have a certain amount of followers. But to me, it’s just a tiny bump in the road to this long highway I’m taking.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
1. I’m an Instagram content creator/influencer, published model, and soon to be blogger!
2. I specialize in social media marketing and creating.
3. I’m known for being a dedicated and reliable creator who shares fun fashion and lifestyle posts on her page!
4. I’m probably most proud of my dedication to my page along with getting to work with really cool local food places and discovering places I’ve never tried before.
5. I’m good at picking things up fast and learning fast, being super dedicated right off the bat, and letting my passion show that can spark interest in others.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
I think one cool lesson I learned is that there’s so many cool things that you can do online to help adapt to any change in the world. So many online programs out there to help with anything you need to get done. It’s crazy how many things there are.
