Hidden Gems: Meet Amari Cain of Agape Mou Lingerie

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amari Cain.

Hi Amari , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
After having growing a whole human inside of my body and giving birth to my beautiful baby boy, I just didn’t feel sexy or confident whatsoever with my brand new body. After searching for lingerie, I couldn’t find a company that modeled their pieces on bodies that looked similar to mine. So I had the thought to try to create a brand that displays real women and real bodies. Trying to get any woman to feel the confidence and sexiness that they have the right to feel every day. That was when Agape Mou Lingerie came to be.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a relatively smooth ride; however I have dealt with some issues on marketing to the right audience to gain repeat customers. I am in my first year of opening, but I know I’ll get it down soon!

Greek for “My Love”, Agape Mou is what every woman should say and how they should feel when they look at their body. Here we bring you insta-worthy lingerie pieces that can evoke this exact feeling in every woman. We are a body-positive and inclusive body company that just wants every woman to feel sexy and confident.

​We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite memory would have to be going beach camping with my friends and their families. It was so much fun and relaxing to go to sleep and wake up to the sunrise on the Southern California beach.
