Hi Tania, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a professional artist currently residing in Cary, NC. I am passionate educator with more than ten years of experience in the art realm. I have had an unconditional passion for illustrating joy on a canvas ever since I was a toddler.
I hold Bachelors and Masters in Fine Arts. My work is a collage of ideas, thoughts, moods, memories, textures and colors. I am inspired by other artists, places and nature. Art is a way for me to make the sense of the world. It allows me to create beauty in the dark, find quiet in the chaos and develop the sense of optimism that has carried me to where I am today.
I love instilling appreciation for art in others and promoting creativity and open-mindedness. I am highly trained in a wide array of artistic mediums, such as acrylic, watercolors, oil paint, fabric work, pencil shading, clay art and relief mural art and am dedicated to sharing my expertise and knowledge with others. These days I am proud to say that I am living the life I had once dreamed of, having manifested my vision and staying true to color – my first love.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My thinking about struggle is that if you aren’t struggling, you aren’t putting yourself out there. You are just waiting for the things to fall into your lap. My struggles are what made me stronger and made me a person what I am today.
