Check Out Kylie Lambert’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kylie Lambert.

Hi Kylie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In 2019, my husband and I purchased our first and likely forever home. I created Living With The Lamberts to document adventures, projects, and mishaps in homeownership. I wanted to connect and learn from other home creators and curate a creative outlet to track my progress and create accountability to learn and share with my audience.

I never expected the Instagram page to expand into a blog and TikTok account with 10k+ followers! I genuinely enjoy sharing my home and lifestyle with others. I hope to inspire others to curate a home and life they love participating in

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not! While I have been an active participant on social media, I have never been a content creator. Creating an Instagram, Blog, and now Tiktok and Pinterest account has been a huge learning curve. The amount of time, effort, and energy that goes into content creation are massive. It may seem that people take a photo and upload it to Instagram in a matter of seconds, but there are hours of work behind everything I post.

Creating a community and audience on Instagram and the internet takes time and attention. Many amazing people share their skills, so connecting authentically with individuals really builds a sense of community and purpose while navigating negativity. When someone puts themselves out on the internet, they open themselves up to a level of criticism from people who would approach projects/home differently. I found that coming back to my “why” helps protect my energy from disgruntled comments.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
When I am not strolling the aisles of Target or decorating my home, I am a mental health therapist! I believe that curating a home and life you love correlates with taking care of your physical, mental, and emotional health. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from NC State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA.

I incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and a strength-based approach when meeting with clients to provide a warm, collaborative experience in managing anxiety, depression, substance use, and everyday life stressors. I am passionate about helping individuals uncover mind-body connections to promote an overall active, healthy, and fulfilling lifestyle.

I firmly believe in acknowledging clients’ strengths as they overcome shame and guilt from past life experiences. In doing this, I hope to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for clients to achieve goals and find their “inner voice” to become empowered, more vulnerable, and more self-compassionate in their everyday lives.

I love working with adolescents and young adults managing anxiety and depression symptoms, life transitions, self-esteem, and body image concerns. I am passionate about

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Whether it is blogging or providing mental health therapy, I found most of my success to come through my authenticity and reliability. Regardless of the credentials after my name or the pretty photos I post on my Instagram account, I am a card-carrying member of the human race. I have flaws and my own struggles. I find that constructively sharing this allows for genuine, human connection, which we all need in our lives.
