Daily Inspiration: Meet Jordan and Neltonia Prince

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan and Neltonia Prince.

Hi Jordan and Neltonia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
We love to eat, and Neltonia loves to cook, so we decided to showcase the foods that we eat at restaurants as well as our homemade dishes via Instagram. From that, we began having restaurants and brands reaching out to us to help promote their establishments or products. So our blog encompasses a variety of cuisines and homemade meals.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a smooth road. The only bump we have ran into thus far is when the pandemic started and restaurants transitioned to take out. The only difference was that we went from eating inside to having to take our meals home and plate and present them on the blog. This was also a time where we had restaurants reaching out to help promote because they wanted to be sure that their customers knew that although they could not dine in, they were still open for take-out.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Neltonia works for the City of Raleigh in the Raleigh Water department. She works in accounting and handles balancing, account reconciliation, payment inquiries, etc.

Jordan also works for the City of Raleigh in the Planning and Development department. He is responsible for processing commercial and residential permits.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
When we started, a lot of our networking was via Instagram, and we were able to connect with a lot of other food bloggers from all over the US and abroad. Eventually, we started to find more local bloggers and were able to network with them in person at various blogger events and restaurants. Anytime there is an opportunity for us to network with and be around other local bloggers, we always take the opportunity because there are a lot of great people that are in our similar blogging arena.
