Today we’d like to introduce you to Cindy Guerra & Jeremy Genovez.

Cindy & Jeremy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Jeremy and I (Cindy) have always been fascinated by different cultures. Jeremy’s mom is from El Salvador and my mom is Puerto Rican. Both of our dads are from Guatemala. Therefore from an early age, we had the influence of different cultures and would travel with our parents when we were younger.

When we met in 2018, we instantly knew we wanted to travel together. We were born and raised in Maryland and have enjoyed exploring the US together as much as we could given that a few years after we met Covid came along. We visited NY, Miami, NC, Philadelphia, Puerto Rico, and Canada in 2018.

With the pandemic and remote working, we decided to make the move to North Carolina where we happily live today. We both had this as a common goal, to move to the Carolinas. The transition was pretty easy for us and we have truly enjoyed everything this state has offered us!

We started our Instagram and Tik Tok page in August 2020 to help others explore with us! We love traveling to places and trying new things whether it be activities or food spots! We know it can be hard to find places to see and things to do. So we love sharing it and giving tips on travel destinations or even NC recommendations.

We hope to inspire any newcomers to explore NC and for others to see the beautiful world around them. We believe adventures do not have to cost a lot of money and can be as simple as exploring your own backyard.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The pandemic has made it hard for our exploring hearts to stand still. We had planned 2019 of going to Europe In June of 2020 and for obvious reasons that didn’t happen. Also, the financial stress of moving mid pandemic was risky but we wouldn’t change it for anything!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We are content creators based in North Carolina. We show others tips and spots to visit that we enjoyed. We are proud of the Latino community that follows us on Tik Tok and being bilingual has helped us have a relationship with them. They also DM us in Spanish asking for any questions about a particular place we go to and we are always happy to help!

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
That adventures don’t necessarily have to be complicated. We enjoyed tons of date nights at home like paint nights. As well as many socially distant activities like hiking and drive-in movies near us.
